Pungent, full of energy, yet pure and easy going. Surprising coffee flavors. A brilliant overachiever. Drink now.

Well balanced, soft, pure, long, but somewhat lacks sparkle. A pleasant wine to drink, if a bit underwhelming.

Ready to drink.

Very good, but not exciting. Representative of the vintage, the wine lacks ultimate power, but is unable to run far on perfume, complexity, elegance, and other soft skills.

Ready to drink.

Drinks nicely, ready to go.
Maybe more Michel Gros than Chambolle.

This Fonteny has finally arrived ... Looks like I wasted most of the case drinking it too early.

Elegant, well balanced, long. With typical Gevrey aromas and flavors. A complete wine in GC territory even if lacking in ultimate power and complexity.

Nice, but still closed and subdued.

Keep for another 3-5 years

Vibrant, springly with sois bois aromas. Well balanced with light body. Overachiever village wine.

It is the first time I really like this wine -- pure clean flavors and good balance. Still, it may benefit from another couple years in the cellar.

A really nice bottle. Moderate complexity, slightly acidic balance, but very elegant and long. The usual cherry flavors.

I wish I had more in my cellar.

This wine is well over the hill: deep yellow, almost orange color; modest nose; attractive dried fruit aromas; long, but lacks vibrancy.

Drink up ASAP.

May improve.

Excellent, archetypical Mersault, easily above a village’s level.

2014 B’dy whites are off the charts.

Thick and heavy, seemingly high in alcohol ... a big disappointment from a quality producer in a very good vintage ...

A bad bottle? Needs more time?

An archetypal Gevrey. Reflecting the vintage, it lacks in ultmate power, but overcompensates in elegance and complexity.

Ready to drink.

Drinks nicely already, but still too acidic to my taste. Will improve with more cellaring, I hope.

As I find often with Laurent wines, the winemaker's hand is more prominent than the terroir.

The wine was very slow to open, took about 2 hours in a decanter. Light on the palate, typical Beaune flavors, while intense, complex, and long. A Leroy true to form.

Outperformed two excellent 1999 b'dy grand crus in a blind tasting.
