The cork was dried out as were a few other bottles. I think this wine is 5 years past its drink by date. Wine was alright, and drinkable, but nothing special

7/6/23, 11:53 AM - I purchased half a case of 7 different 2003 Bordeaux. They've all been kept in a proper wine room. I've had this cork issue with only the Branaire and it happened to a few bottles.

Glad to hear that your 2003s are still drinking well as I have a few left from other producers

7/6/23, 11:54 AM - Calvert-woodley is still great. I tend to buy more from Bassins on MacArthur blvd as they have a more robust selection of most regions.

Cork was dried out, same as with the first bottle I opened. I opened for an hour before tasting. Flavor was good, a little tight, not much finish

8/15/21, 4:16 PM - These have been stored on their side in the cellar. I have 5 other wines from the same vintage and no issues with corks. I think its just a bad batch of corks I got. Maybe the final 4 bottles will be better

Opened and drank immediately. At first the flavor and aroma were light and the tannins a little firm. but then it started opening up and got better and better. Definitely should open for at least an hour before drinking. This wine has lots more time

3/7/21, 7:18 PM - I paired the wine with leftover meat ravioli, tomato sauce, garlic bread and a salad. Perfect and simple Italian meal
