This was too sweet, down the drain.
Red
Really not great. Glad this was the last of boat themed wine section in the cellar.
Red
Mostly oak, not much else going on here.
Red
Over extracted and hot. 15.9%
Came together a bit and smoothed out with some air but still not great.

Wife didn’t care for this, felt it was too bland

Wife didn't love this, she usually gravitates to lighter white wines and found this one a bit heavier.

Bottle was received Friday and opened Saturday, label states 15.4% alcohol, blend percentages match the description provided.

Wine pours a clear reddish purple, nearly opaque in the glass which is typical of the blend presented.

The nose is very young and jumps out of the glass, filled the kitchen with red fruit notes predominately. Sticking my nose in the glass the alcohol is very present but the oak is minimized. Primary notes are bright cherry and raspberry, and wet stone.

On the palate the wine is dry, medium/full bodied, has moderate acidity, mellow rounded tannins. Overall the wine is well balanced, I did not notice the alcohol or oak while sipping. Overall a great flavor profile, but the nose is more expressive than the flavor profile.

I think it is both a good food wine and holds up great on its own, it really has no jagged edges and I’m not sure about its age-ability, the higher alcohol content would make me lean towards classifying this as a purely new world style wine but while sipping it none of the over done, overly jammy qualities really came through. I think its ready to drink now, maybe ageing another 2-3 years helps the fruit smooth a bit but that all depends on if that's what you want.

Overall, I really enjoyed it and would happily drink it again if served.

Found this at grocery outlet.
This is not a cab, maybe a light bodied zin or bad Pinot.

Absolutely would not repurchase.
Red
This was way over extracted and pruny. It did balance a bit by day 2. But would not repurchase this even at the GO price of $13.

Honestly this was pretty bland. Definitely Chardonnay but not a lot of character to it.
Would not buy again.

Pretty meh, would not purchase again even at a steep discount.

This is not doing well. Would not buy again.
Slightly off dry. Color is fading. Drain pour.
White
This was off dry. Not expecting that.
Unfortunately no one liked it.
Red
I liked this more than I thought I would. Initially very closed and generic, it opened up quite a bit over an hour and showed quite a bit of fruit. We’ll see how it’s doing tomorrow.

This was found at Grocery Outlet for $13. Initially I really liked it. Really lovely nose, but the mouthfeel is just a bit thin and flavors are a bit bland. I think it would make a solid table wine that’s about it.

This seems to be have peaked 2-3 years ago. Was opened up at a Casemates meetup and was mostly dumped. This particular bottling was from a difficult vintage that I thought might shine with time and did come around into a decent bottle a few years ago. If have left of these I'd finish them, probably better with food.

$10 at grocery outlet while the close out lasts.
This is more of copper color rose. Good acid, fruits there but just not doing it for me. Maybe it’s the production method used. I can’t quite put a finger on it.

My benchmark for quality cheap traditionally made sparklers is the Trader Joe’s brut rose and this isn’t as good somehow.

N.V. Building 43 Winery Sierra Foothills Red Blend
This was terrible.

I hadn’t had this varietal before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. This wine was a bit heavier than the typical description and darker too.
Mostly wood and leather with some plum. Kind of like an over extracted merlot. Definitely new world style. Probably wouldn’t buy this, came in a very inexpensive mystery case from wineslash.

1995 Iron Horse Vineyards Classic Vintage Brut Green Valley of Russian River Valley Champagne Blend (view label images)
Received as a surprise for my birthday. Enjoyed it over dinner last night. Definitely showing the age but very drinkable as an aged sparkler. Nice mouthfeel, minimal bubbles at this point.
Red
This was really singing last night.
Bright red fruit, great acidity.
Red
By far my favorite of the since close outs I’ve tried. Fairly ripe, almost zin like. Medium bodied great fruit profile. Solid buy!
Red
This bottle was pretty lousy.
Lighter style Grenache but weirdly felt over extracted. Maybe too much oak and manipulation. I’d pass on this in the future.

This was tasty yet super generic. One of those wines that’s enjoyable to drink but leaves very little overall impression.

This was really good, ripe watermelon, great acidity, a good bulk buy candidate.

This was solid juice, sadly/happily found at grocery outlet for $10. Very hearty and a bit leathery, great with tri-tip. Felt more medium bodied though than a heavy cab. Will be getting more.

Drank this over the weekend.
Fairly generic, not much to write about here.
Medium body, tart, generic red fruit profile. No tannins, no noticeable alcohol. Decent with food but still not something to run out and grab.

Solid Cabernet.
Day 2: this completely fell apart. Completely different from yesterday. Not great at all.

This was beautiful last night. Great acid, very vibrant, fruit shines through. Isa is spot on year after year. Great bottle with family over for thanksgiving.

Didn't love this wine, a bit more funk than I wanted and not nearly the light bodied food wine I was hoping for on my thanksgiving table. Would not buy again. Another miss from underground cellars.

I have enjoyed well made aged Chards before with many more years under the belt that felt very fresh and vibrant. This is not one of those. Its fading and feeling heavy. Oak seems well integrated at this point. Another miss from underground cellars.

I typically love Grenache and I do really like Municipal winemakers/Potek, this wasn't my cup of tea though. It showed typical Grenache flavors and body but nothing distinct or memorable about it. Drank over 2 nights so I know it got enough air.

Excellent with lasagna, great on its own. Unfortunately my last of this set. :(
An auto buy for the future.
Red
I’ve had two of these now and really didn’t care for it either time. To woody, a little funk initially but never the fruit I was hoping for. Acquired from underground cellars as random bottles and not satisfied with these.
Rosé
Very tasty, great acidity. Solid fruit.

This was straight up delicious.
Great in its own, great with a steak.

Decent bottle of Pinot noir at the ol’ grocery outlet for around $8 or $9. Far from the best QPR Pinot find there but very drinkable. Not bad.
Red
This is really doing well.
Typical heavier Syrah notes, not over extracted or Oaked. Great with a nice steak.

I think these are primed up.
White
Really not great.
Would not buy this again from underground cellars.
White
This was not good straight away after a pnp, got much better with time in glass.nice medium bodied food friendly white. Would buy again.
Red
Much better than the last one which down the drain. Really nice fruit, restrained oak. Would buy again if spotted at GO.
