Never been disappointed by a Whitehall Lane wine. Another great cab. Drank side by side with 2002 Reserve, and both were really good.

Best of 4 bottles of this we have had. Heavy sediment that we had to filter, but this was just a great bottle of wine at this point.

This bottle never really came around or opened up after decanting. Hoping it isn't past its prime with one bottle left.

Opened up after a 30 minute decant. Great wine when tasted at the winery 5 years ago and just as great as we remembered it. Sad that they stopped making this one.

Mellowed quite a bit from last tasting this 2 1/2 years ago. Well balanced and still very enjoyable.

Eh...this seemed like it should have been better than it was. Strong nose and structure seemed to be there, but we were left waiting for it to deliver.

We thought this still was very youthful. Really enjoyed it. Well balanced and still packed a nice punch.

Still drinking well. Tannins have softened, and this has turned into a very nice wine. Not as much depth as the Reserve, but we really enjoyed this.

Fantastic. The Del Dotto Cab Francs are consistently some of our favorite wines.

Beautiful! Very chablis-like in style compared to a lot of over-oaked, buttery California chardonnays.

First of the 2013's we have opened and wasn't as enjoyable as the 2012 which was amongst the best chardonnays we have ever had. This one was very acidic and unbalanced. Hoping that more time will help the rest of these out.

Another great bottle of Cask. Starting to come into its own. Needs an hour of air before serving.

At 12 years old, this was still showing a whole lot of life yet to come. Profile wasn't much different than younger Del Dotto wines. Enjoyed this one thoroughly.

Started off incredibly oaky out of the bottle. However, it paired very nicely with an italian dish and was more of what I expected from a Shafer merlot. When finished after dinner, it was back to its oaky state, so it really wasn't as good on its own without food.

Not as good as the last two bottles. This one came off a little acidic. Maybe it was a bad food pairing or maybe this one is on the decline. Still very good but not as good as expected.

Needed a 2-3 hour decant and had a lot of sediment which we run into with all Constant wines. Beautiful nose and great wine. Still a lot of youth almost four years since the last bottle we opened.

Hopefully this is just in an awkward phase at the moment or this was an off bottle because we found it disjointed. Nose was good, but then lots of oak and alcohol hits you on the body. Thankfully we let this sit for a while, and it came around a bit. We were tempted to cork it and save it to cook with.

Very strong nose of peach and a bit of alcohol. Classic sauv blanc notes on the body. Pleasant wine that was a good value.

Much more balanced than the last bottle and very enjoyable to drink but still don't think it separates itself enough from the standard chard to justify the extra $12-15.

Eh...not a whole lot going on here. Actually had a really nice nose, but fell somewhat flat on the palate. It was fine, but we also didn't fell inclined to finish it. Was better 2 years ago.

Pleasantly surprised by this one as the last bottle we opened was marginal at best. Nice fruit, though a bit muted on the body, and paired well with butternut squash ravioli and crostini.

Overall, this was an enjoyable wine, but not a great QPR at winery price of $40. It was actually much better on the second night after being re-corked after half the bottle was consumed on night one. After initially opened, it seemed like it was still asleep without any real defining characteristics but then came into its own on night two.

Did not decant but first pour sat in the glass for about an hour. Continued to improve over the night. This was outstanding. Beautiful nose which included cedar and tobacco, silky smooth with a long finish. Wish we had more of this one as it is in a very happy place. Never disappointed in opening a bottle of James Cole.

Thought this was fantastic. Nice spiciness on the nose gives way to chocolate creaminess on the body. Long finish leaves you wanting for more. Still a lot of life left in this.

Interesting blend with Syrah and Zin showing strong against the 61% cab. Enjoyed thoroughly with pasta with sausage and smoked provolone.

Nice Pinot that still seems to have some time left on it. A little bit of barnyard initially on the nose turning into strawberry and classic Pinot notes. Enjoyable wine but didn't feel like a great QPR.

Blancaneux is great from vintage to vintage. Peach, pear and flowers come across on the nose and body. Great summer sipper.
