Nothing bad here. Just as good as 1st bottle in 2013. More earthy tones but still some fruit just subdued.

Sweet perfume all around without overbearing fruit. A beautiful cab franc. Just a glass from bottle with coravin. More later…

This is not your typical Cali cab. Not a fruit bomb. Much more refined. Dark red/burgundy. Dark fruit and graphite on nose. Restrained and complex palate with cherry, dark chocolate and tobacco. Clean and crisp finish of same. Magnificent wine at this time. Should continue to mature but not sure can get much better.

Dark ruby/garnet in glass with no loss of color. Deep dark berries/cassis on bouquet. Maybe a hint of graphite but fruit still overpowers. Less fruit on palate but still dark and strong, possibly dark chocolate/espresso. Long, lingering, mouth coating finish. This has plenty of legs left.

Still going strong. Others notes from 1-2 years ago still relevant. Not a rose for the faint of heart. Nice structure and depth but still meets expectations for a rose. Interested to see how long it will last (holding a few more bottles).

Very disappointed vineyard changed owners and this wine was abandoned. Always a solid cab and still going strong. Have 3 more bottles and a few more years in my humble opinion.

Still austere on 1st night. Let sit corked in refridge. Much more approachable 24hrs later. Dark fruits but a lot of ETOH on nose. Cherry and leather on palate. Cola on finish. I believe this will soften with time. CT window too short.

PnP...stored properly, still going strong. Great wine full of fruit. Cherry, raspberry, chocolate. Nothing wrong here. Great QPR.

Garnet color remains. Sparkle gone. Still dark fruit bouquet but more leather and graphite, and slight bitterness coming through. Less fruit on palate with more earthy tones. Has matured quite a bit. Still an exceptional wine but showing age.

Still holding it's own even after a move half way across the country. CT window too narrow. One more bottle will hold another year. Excellent on it's own but still begging for a juicy steak. Had in 2010 with seared sirloin tips...match made in Heaven. Enjoy if you still have some.

Beautiful garnet color. DARK brooding fruits on bouquet. Soft palate with cherry, blueberry, blackberry, dark chocolate. Zero tannins. Silky, medium lasting finish. No issues here. Near/peak. Liquid gold right now. Enjoy.

Love this rose because it is typically full bodied with lots of minerality. This vintage is pale in color and weak on the nose and palate. '13 was weak but also bitter. Prior vintages almost "clairet" like. Usually buy 2 cases. Glad i still have some '14 and only bought 6 of '15.

Last bottle opened '10. Did not like then. Too tight and tannic. I would say this wine is in its prime. BIG dark berries on the nose. Less fruit on the palate. Softer, silkier. Finish more earthy with leather and graphite. Quite enjoyable now compared to 4 years ago. Maybe another year to go but not much longer.

Had a "leftover" bottle. Outlasted the drinking window and quite enjoyable. Still with a floral bouquet but citrus has given way to an almost licorice aroma. Palate quite full and bold. Long finish for a Viognier. Glad I held onto this by accident. Ages quite nicely.

Deep garnet yet sparkles in glass. Sensually sweet perfume. Structured yet soft and elegant. Blackberries, blueberries and a hint of cherry. Very insignia"ish" but could be better. Glad I bought everything I could get my hands on. This is an exceptional wine.

High rating on drinkability not complexity. Easy wine all the way through. Big Berries front and center with a liitle licorice after decant. More dark berries on palate with little finish. Very smooth all the way through. Little to think about but very easy to enjoy.

Pale yellow, almost clear. Zesty bouquet full of lemon. Balanced acidity which tapers quickly to a clean finish. Very respectable given the price. Something to drink while the other ones age.

Dark ruby color, dark berries-currant bouquet, less on the palate with more balanced leather/graphite, beautifully integrated tannins. It says big but is really not in the Cali style. Modest, clean finish. Has a lot more to go.

This wine has a beautiful color reminding me of a Jolly Rancher watermelon sucker. My mouth was watering just at the appearance in the bottle/glass. Subdued nose but fresh. On the palate it is light and crisp yet has a full mouth feel with a substantial finish for a rose. Light berries. The pairings on a warm summer day could be endless. All the better at the price. Don't miss out if you can get your hands on some.

Apologize for the informal note but had to dump the bottle. Nothing redeeming considering the others out there at the same or slightly higher price point that warrant a true note. Bitterness that couldn't overcome. Maybe in a Mimosa where you can't taste it but...

Overpowering bouquet of berries and licorice, same on palate. Way too big right now without a long decant. Still bold but a little softer after 3 hours. Will hold awhile. Think it has potential

Very impressive bouquet. Full and thick with hint of licorice mixed with honeysuckle. Palate very similar with initial zing of lemon that quickly fades. Fascinating wine.

golden in the glass. Butterscotch, peach and vanilla dominate the bouquet with a hint of lemon. Same on the pallet with a little too much "zing" on the back end. Did not have with food. I would guess it would stand up to most dishes (i.e. shrimp scampi or the like)

This is a group tasting. Typical Bordeaux ruby color. Bouquet of plum with a coffee undertone. Slight minerality with blackberry and a hint of current on palate. Silky smooth, yet slightly tannic finish expected of a young Bordeaux (decanted for half an hour). Very good QPR but lacks complexity and dimension one would expect from a higher end Bordeaux. Would definitely buy again.

A solid wine for the price. Dark purple in color. Aromas of mixed berries. Not as fruit forward as would be expected but still an abundance. Tannins are strong but not overwhelming. Easy finish. Next to llast bottle in a case purchased in '08. Enjoyed as much as the first. Will look to buy again as an "every day wine" as the rest of my cellar ages.

A very "pure" wine. Unlike others I found the nose to be one of leather/tobacco but not overwhelming. The fruit is there but found at a deeper level. The palate is quite flat but not unpleasant. Rather it is strikingly soft for a California cab and very easy drinking. Not loaded with fruit but nothing wrong with this wine. Very enjoyable particularly at the $20 level.
Day #3: vacuum corked. No burning alcohol here. The fruit has come forward more both on the bouquet and the palate. A very pleasant wine indeed. Glad I bought a case at this price.

One of the best QPR chards out there. Very easy drinking and sure to please the crowds. Not overly oaked and not too fruity, dry or acidic. Great bottle to grab everyday while watching the sun set in the summer without feeling guilty re cost or worrying about matching with foods. Will stand alone nicely.

Aweful. Amber, almost burnt color. Bouquet was heavy and floral. Strong medicinal taste from start to finish. Couldn't overcome with any of it's other attributes. Tasted again 7/2 - in all fairness the first bottle must have been spoiled. Still has an almost chemical bouquet but actually opened up nicely. Palate more along the lines as described by vineyard. Would rate this bottle an 85. Will not dump remaining bottles down drain but give another try later.

Bouquet gave impression of typical Cali, overoaked, buttery chard. Palate was much softer. After 2 days open it was wonderful, more like a white burgandy. Would buy again but are similar chards at half the price.
