Screw cap which must be one of the early ones. Fruit driven, bright colour, drinking very well given the bottle notes. Much appreciated.........

This wine is drinking superbly. Rich chocolate flavours, well balanced with soft tannin and subtle over-ripe (spirit marinated?) berry fruits. Lucky for me I have one left.....

Weeping cork was concerning, definitely past it's best. Not a deep red as I expected, earthy, and a little brandy(?) to smell, quite smooth and subtle 'mature' berry fruit taste.

Drank 2 bottles at a family dinner - what remained in my cellar. Should have been opened a couple of year back but was just ok.

This has a drinking window described as ending in 2013 but having opened one last night I can say it's still got legs.
Bright berries, some smokey flavors and very well balanced tannins.
If you have bottles and thought they might be past there best - dig in and be delighted.
I joyfully have 4 bottles remaining.......

Not my usual drinking style but I like this rose version. Light, bright and not overly sweet. The Mataro I think adds a bit of dryness which is nice.

Overly sweet at first but really opened up as it warmed a little. A really big wine that needs food to go with it.

Bright and lively - lots of fruits and no buttery flavours at all. Very complimentary with a hardy chicken and vegetable soup. Really opened up as the wine warmed in the glass. Very enjoyable.

Haven't had this for a few years and it's still pretty much as I recall - a fine Tassie sparkling. Fine bead, straw colour, citrus flavours - and dry.

For a young Shiraz, this is an exceptional wine. Ignoring the price (which is great value) it's up there with the best From the Barossa. I can't wait to taste the other stock from this fine young winemaker!

Burnt red tones in the glass for this young wine was a surprise, but lively nose, bright caramel/butterscotch aromas. Soft feel in the mouth, nice berry fruits came through - doesn't linger at all.

Bright red, molasses and golden syrup aromas. A big lot of berry fruit up front with some mid palate acidity. Interested to see what this is like in a year or two........

The wine looks garnet coloured and smells of fig, prune and nutmeg. It tastes like butterscotch and molasses right in the back of the mouth. The body is medium and has bright texture. Being quite young the wine has medium to high acidity.

Just had to try this even though the drinking window is 2018-2040! Been sitting on 6 bottles for a year, so I've not done too badly. Opened and poured 2 glasses, first thing is the bright crimson colour, bright! Initially on the nose loads of sweet berry fruit, super sweet strawberries, first taste is 'fruit bomb'. Let sit for about 20 minutes and it did open up a little, some subtle tannins evident, and less offensive sweetness. Still half a bottle left and we'll see how it is after 24 hours. This is a screw top seal so it will be very interesting to see how it develops over the next few years.

Yum! Very dark red....almost black. Tannins on the nose more than expected and way less fruit. Opened up after 20 mins, very well balanced, some acid, mild tannins, well integrated fruit. I'll go chasing a couple more bottles of this.

Drank this bottle over 2 nights and it was definitely better 24 hours after opening. Typical CS colour, not overly aroma-driven. Full taste, some lingering earthy flavours, will develop further I think.

There was nothing to this wine when the bottle first first opened straight out of the fridge - BUT once it had warmed a little it was exquisite! Typical young Hunter Sem aromas - grassy, some citrus and melon. Same to taste, sharp, lots of acid. This is great to drink now and will be a cracka in 4-5 years.

Deep but bright plum red, quite a lot of alcohol on the nose and berry fruits, soft in the mouth - kind of elegant which I didn't expect in a 2010! This will last some years.
