The QPR is there with this one. At 15 this is a perfect Tuesday / Thursday home dinner wine. Moderate to moderate low in both acid and tannins this works well several styles of food pairings. Traditional notes.

This is uncomfortably sweet. It has a fake taste as described earlier. This reminds me of a cheap wine that a college kid would buy to get his lady friend tipsy. Absolutely terrible.

A great QPR. reminds me alot of the 2007 root 1 from Chile. The nose is smokey with earth tones followed by tons of cranberries. The tannins are there but nothing is out of ballance. All in all this is nice and a very good value. The perfect everyday drinker. Should cellar well for another five years. I'm stocking up.

This is a very nice vino. I must be crazy, but on the nose to me has the same smell that water has after you have boiled corn in the cob in it. Very, very vegetal. The fruit shows through nice as well. Over all I think this id drinking very well. Definitely will hold up in the cellar. I bought six but wish I had bought a case or two. Hopefully I'm able to leave half for tomorrow to see what happens. No promises.

Wow what a spectacular bottle of wine. This had dark fruit that was ripe and sweet. The first thing to hit my nose was a warm spicy raisin profile fused in dark fruit. I aloud it to rest in the decanter for roughly three hours and then enjoyed the first half solo. I was surprised it drank on it's own as well as it did. The mouth feel was full and velvety. What impressed me more than anything was the ballance. I expected a little heat but there was none. I still can't get over the nose. I am truly disappointed I didn't buy more. Spectacular.

I am very surprised to not see higher marks on this one. I feel this is a solid wine and Antonio Galloni nailed it with his review. I’m going to pick up more of this and see if I still have the same opinion. It may be just a bit heavy on the oak but the sour cherries were amazing. I’m going to hold off on a detailed review until round two takes place. For now, this is a solid 91 point wine in my book. Especially considering the cost of this bottle.

This was a very enjoyable wine. My entensions were to enjoy over a two night period and note the changes. Night two never happened because I couldn't stop pouring just a little more. The nose had a cherry oak profile that was pleasant and fresh. The palate was sour cherries with hints of strawberry. The acid ballanced well with the tannins. I will absolutely buy this again.

OK but not a must try again wine for me. I did keep a glass for day two just too see if it would improve. Well it did. I wish now I would have let it breath a little more. Still nothing to make a fuss over.

Very much an everyday pizza wine or weekday wine that should be OK to most. More of a new world profile than old world which I expected. The nose is typical bright red candy. The palate is sour cherry and nice. Nothing over the top but not bad either. Just decent. I will save a glass for tomorrow to see how it changes if at all.

I think part of the mixed reviews are due in part by the fact that everyone has a different palate. That is why we all don’t eat the same foods.

To my palate this was OK but nothing special. It had a basic fruit profile but didn’t lean heavy towards either side (light or dark fruit). It was a nice pizza wine but surely not something I would rush out to purchase again.

On the nose it had that barnyard funk I love when first opened. A little musky with earthy tones. Anyone that has a sister remembers the smell of a perm blowing through the house followed by screams of I hate it. Well upon opening, that is the first thing I got. This quickly blew off. I think that is mixed with the barnyard funk that leaves in a hurry once opened for a brief stent.

If you leave your glass alone as I did, you can pick up subtle rose petals. But swirl it and it’s gone.

I have two more left. Time will tell.

Ok but nothing special. Decent pizza wine. A touch sour or tart which is fine but nothing to exciting here. I'm supprised by Galloni's notes on this one.

I will truly miss this 07. I have drank the last of 16 bottles and I still to this date have never had a 10 dollar bottle that I enjoyed as I did with this one. The 08 was a huge disappointment for me because it lacked everything that I loved about the 07. Fortunately the 09 has been released and I have one on the way to try. My fingers are crossed. This was a very earthy wine. It had the nose of wet dirt blended with mushrooms and vanilla buried in an espresso chocolate. The fruit is dark and musky. On the palate cherries and tobacco and a little pepper mix well in a velvet finish. I did get a little bottle variation that sometimes was smoky but nothing major. Again the reason all this excites me is because I paid a mere 10 dollars per bottle. I can only hope the 09 will fair the same.

This is an excellent QPR. I am buying more too cellar because I can't imagine this being around for long at this price. One of the better table wines at this price I've had in a while.

On its own the nose may be a little off putting to some. Diesel fuel and rubber stand out the most. I had this with a nice dinner but . . . try this with a lemon cake with lemon icing and you have the perfect match. Slightly chilled, this wine was amazing with the cake for desert.

I loved this one. Wet soil and musky basement profiles on the nose. The palete was bright cherries and earthy. A very ballanced red that will absolutely make it back in to my cellar.

I'll pass. On the nose it has a wet soil or damp cave smell which I'm ok with but, It also has a candied chemical smell that I don't care for. On the palate I realy didn't pick up nice fruit. It was more of a disjointed twang.

Huge Tannins. This one needed time to breath. I tried to let it decant but could'nt stay away from it. I stole this wine for $20.00 I wish I had bought a case. I will take y time with the next one and write more notes

I just can not leave good marks for this one. It's possible I received two bottles from a bad barrel. From what I've read, many like this one. It did have the barn yard funk I'm fond of but the oak and smoke killed this one for me. No score

What a huge disappointment. I'm sorry but I have to be honest. I am hoping that I received a bottle that is off the mark from its counterparts. I will hopefully find better results from the second bottle I purchased. If my results are the same I will leave the full review including a score the second time around. I feel I need a second evaluation

This is a wonderful wine that is a must try. The color is a beautiful violet purple. The pallet is young and fresh with plenty of dark berries but not heavy. It has a woodsy feel to it with tons of depth. I absolutely will buy this again. A very good buy at this price point.

This is a nice wine. Especially at $10.00 Cherries and cranberries explode on the pallet. The tannins are firm and balance well with the overall structure of the wine. There is plenty of life left in this one but it is drinking well now.

This is a nice table wine. It has a little bit of a barn yard funk to it. Reminds me of cedar and cherries mixed with soil. The tannins are mild and balance well with the acid which is low as well. I would say this is in it's prime and not a bottle I would try to cellar for long. I would definitely by this again.

I did not care much for this wine. It had a very concentrated red candied nose. Had I known there would be so much sediment in the last glass I would have poured it differently.

Wow, this is a nice wine for many occasions. I think "azwino" described this very well and I agree in all aspects with his or her review. I absolutely think the price point matches the quality. Their are two wines I plan to parallel taste this one against. One of them made WS top 100 and the other cost 7 bones. I'm curious where the chips will fall when compared to what I know is good and what I know is a serious value.

The color is a faded gold with a green tint to it. Like most chards it has a buttery baked apple aroma. It almost reminds me of a malt smell you would get from a real vanilla shake. On the pallet it is nice with a warm fruity flavor of apples and pineapple. It's not bad on it's own but I suspect it would pair much better with food. Probably best with something light or perhaps Asian foods.

I bought this after reading a review that got my attention. It was described as having a nose to die for. I agree the nose is pretty spectacular. The other thing that caught my attention was the price tag. A measly $5.00 It has a nice tropical nose with a touch of butter hidden behind the fruit. The taste is nice and refreshing but kind of thin. It has that lemon water feel to it. Overall I would say for the money it’s a good deal.

This is an interesting wine. On the nose, you pick up butter, lemon peal and red apple. It almost has a tropical component that I believe comes from the butter aroma being mixed with the citrus and sweet fruit. Just a very clean warm fragrance all the way around. On the pallet the lemon peal steals the show. The acid is high giving it an almost bitter bite or green taste if you will. I paired it up with a spicy chicken dish my wife made and it worked out very well. It allowed the spicy chicken to do its thing while it held its ground but did not overpower the main dish. I enjoyed this wine and would recommend it to friends.

This is a solid wine at this price point. Like many European Rieslings, it has a heavy mineral/ petroleum nose with apple and various citrus components. On the pallet it is clean yet oily almost or thick for lack of a better term. It also has a bubbly bite with hints of lemon peal and apple. You could enjoy this one on it’s own but I personally feel it pairs with food so well that it would be a waste to drink it on its own. I would highly recommend this to anyone that enjoys a good white.

This is a very nice Beaujolais in this price range. Much better than many I've tried at under $13.00 from the Gamay grape in the common village selections. Certainly much better than what I refer to as the "flower bottle Beaujolais". On the nose one of the first things to pop out was bacon fat. Yes you get the strawberries, cherries and flowers you would expect, but this one has more to offer. One of the things I have always enjoyed about this varietal is how versatile this wine really is. It can be paired with many different foods or as a stand alone, it works well on it's own so no need to cook if your not in the mood. I saw this particular maker with an offer from Fleurie which is know as the Queen of the Beaujolais Villages. Moulin A Vent being the king. I will certainly give the Fleurie a shot.
