Orange-brown color. Intense dried figs on the nose and palate. Bright acids. After a half hour, the tannins mellow and grip the gums firmly without biting. Long finish. Very well balanced and near its peak.

Holding up nicely. Still has balance - firm tannins and acid. Good for another year.

I found the rich nose, oak and dark fruit on the palate and nice, velvet tannins with a long finish. Acid was missing, however, rendering the wine flat to my taste. A great value and great for our "'rounder" guests.

Seems pretty open and coming into its own. A fairly big wine, kind of new world style. A little heavy on fruit, oak, nice tannins with a bit of heat and bitterness. Just fine for what it is.

This seems pretty heavy on the oak, but it works. I'm getting concentrated figs and vanilla on the nose and palate, with solid tannins and a pretty long finish..

I agree with Rochester (10-1) on this one. Opened 2 of 6 bottles and found pleasanyly scented, nicely tannic water. All the acid and balance was gone, as was the body. Perhaps shipping damage?

In my opinion, underrated. Has a bit of barnyard at first, but aeration makes it disappear. Nice balance of fruit, acid, earth and long, chewy tannins.

At its peak, or a bit beyond. A beautiful late-middle-aged lady, old before her time for a 2000, but still beautiful. Tastes of earth and loam and forest floor, but with gentle fruit, acid and mellow tanins. Balanced, but toward the earth more than the frut. A true Bordeaux.

I noticed that the dark fruit and tannins stay with air time, but the acids disappeared completely. Long finish, though. Definitely pop-pour-drink.

Delightful, if simple. Bright berries on the nose, sour cherries on the palate. Bouncy acid followed by gentle, grippy tannins and a hint of vanilla at the end.
