Not usually a big fan of fruit wine but this was a as very pleasant. Light cherry red in color, odd dry, and subtle bouquet of cherry and berries. Tart cherrries with a hint of sweetness on the palate, juice with some decent acidity. Very enjoyable.

This wine changed a lot over the course of the evening. I openeded it in the after noon l, poured a glass, then decanted the rest for an hour. Had with dinner, and did the tasting note this evening. The first glass was really amazing and it was very enjoyable with dinner. The note below is from the evening, with the wine losing some of its complexity.
Color: dark garnet. Nose: coco, some floral notes, roses, vanilla
Taste: starts with Cherries, red fruits and chocolate, then changes into a bit of citrus with some acidity mid way, pepper spice then some soft tannins. A bit one dimensional at the end of the evening but the first two hours were magic

Drank over a day. Didn't improve much. It's very one dimensional - I get a little hint of cherry which quickly turns into peppers and spice and some strong tannins; lots of acidity. The nose is pretty muted as well. A bit of vanilla and some red fruits.

Oddly enough, I tasted this wine at the winery and I really liked it, so perhaps my bottle got cooked somehow

Notes take on day 2. Very enjoyable. Bouquet: prunes, strawberry, vanilla and a bit of alcohol; taste: chocolate gives way to some dark fruits, spice / black peppers and moderate tannins that linger for 30 + seconds. Had this wines with little bites of bread and cheese and on its own; was fun on both occasions.

this wine is still delightful 10 years later! Nose is still beautiful and fruity; a bit of fruit left on the palate which quickly gives way to leather and spice and a very soft mouth feel. A bit sad that the winery has changed hands and may not be making something as nice as this in the future...

Interesting wine. Ruby red w/ some brownish tone. Nose: vanilla, cedar, a bit of alcohol, prunes, dark chocolate, some sweet baking smell. On the palate: very long finish with soft tannins and pronounced acidity. Not a lot of fruit; some sour/tart cranberries give way to some spice/peppers and earthy tones. The nose is very nice and complex; past its peak?

No formal notes. Brick red color, Very nice bouquet; very fine tannins, and most of the fruit is dull compared to my memory of this wine in 2007 and 2008. Very nice balance, and you don't even notice the 14.5% alcohol very enjoyable, even though it is likely past its peak. Had with lobster thermidor, filet mignon, and risotto.

Lovely nose of jam (black currant, blueberries and blackberries) - very fruity on the palate with a heavy dose of acidity and alcohol. A bit too strong as a sipping wine, but man did it hold its own against a beef brisket covered with BBQ sauce. Very enjoyable with food.
