My second of two bottles, consumed ~2 years after the first. This wine is showing its age just a bit. Not quite as fruit forward as before, though still quite full of fruit. I'd recommend consuming within the next year.

Big juicy wine. It didn't take long to open up, and once it did it was smooth and easy drinking ... too easy. Paired wonderfully with burgers. This wine is in a perfect place right now, and I suspect it will continue to drink well for a few years to come.

This wine has aged exceptionally. Big, bold, and fruit forward are adjectives that comes to mind. Good complexity, smooth tannins. This wine is made by the assistant winemaker at Herman Story, and it is very much in that same style.

Thick and rich pinot, unlike other Lorings. Dark fruit, bold flavors.

Wow. Aged to perfection. Black fruits, well-balanced, highly structured. What a pleasure to drink. This wine is amazing, and I can't imagine it getting any better, so it's in a good place to drink.

A real pleasurable wine. A lot of red cherry and just enough sophistication.

93+. This wine is really in its prime. Bold, sweet fruit comes through, typical of Nicora wines, but this wine also has excellent structure and balance.

Bold, very fruit-forward Grenache, with good complexity. Acidity isn't real high, so I'd recommend drinking sooner rather than later before acidity drops more.

Drinking beautifully right now. A delicious, full-throttle syrah.

Big, bold, heavy-duty, full-throttled Grenache. Lots of bright fruit, good acidity, and the alcohol is well balanced. Holds true to the Herman Story style of wine making. This wine is holding up well. I don't know that it can get much better, but it's fantastic now.

Big, bold, and meaty. Not much fruit showing through. Recommend holding off for a while.

This is a big, bold, juicy wine sporting ripe red fruit. Paired perfectly with grilled sirloin burgers. Tensley knocks it out of the park with his Colson syrah, and then when you consider price it gets even better.

92+. I believe this is a cab-based blend. The cab is definitely there, but not over the top, especially after it opens up a bit. Big, rich, complex, and smooth. Well balanced for such a big wine. Alcohol is in check. A delicious treat for a Friday night ...

Excellent pinot. It's clearly meant to be consumed young, so I'd drink up if you have any of this remaining.

P&P on night one and rated 90. Was very tight. Two nights later it had opened up a lot. I didn't take detailed notes, but score went up to 92. Definitely decant this wine.

A very nice, well balanced Pinot in the California style. Complex flavors and aromas, and distinctly Santa Barbara County pinot.

Not very impressive. I'm not even sure what I'm tasting. Prior vintages were significantly better.

Delicious. Still doing well at this age. I don't think it'll get much better, but it's not over the hill, either. I suspect it can hold on for a couple more years with proper cellaring.

Unimpressive and not worth the price. I really didn't care for it at all.

This wine has aged beautifully. It's still got more time in bottle, but I don't know that it can improve much more. The Malbec really shows through. Wish I had a few more bottles.

Excellent Malbec. Perhaps a bit more fruit-forward than others I've tried, but not over so. Delicious and approachable. Paired wonderfully with hamburgers.
