Drank for 2018 New Years Eve. Very nice and typical QC quality. Is starting to lose some fruit but has a nice mouthfeel and good finish. It's time to start drinking up what you have left in the cellar.
The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are slow. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry and black currant (cassis). It tastes like blackberry and black currant (cassis). The body is medium/full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

Beautiful color and nose. A very spicy cab with plenty of power.

I agree with b.f, this is good stuff and will be even better with a couple of years in the bottle. We tried the first bottle with a group of friends Thursday night and got very little. Soft mouthfeel was the consensus with a rich and lasting finish. We opened a second bottle last night and enjoyed the way it opened up – last glass was the best. I’ll decant the next one.

Color is bricking and nose was somewhat oxidized. This bottle never opened up and most of the fruit was gon. Rather disappointing given they are sending it out as Founder's Level club wine.

While it didn't match up quite as well as the 2006, I still enjoyed it very much. It is a power house and the mouth feel lets you know you about it but the finish is long and oh so smooth. I have only experimented with a half dozen Petite Syrah from Washington State but this baby is far and away above the others.

I love this stuff! The dark, inky, squiddy color embodies the glass wonderfully. A nice nose of dark fruit, spice and power! The wine is aggressive in the mouth but settles in for a long, fine finish. It's hard to find but you'll enjoy it if you enjoy a well-made Petite Syrah and you can get your hands on some.

I second mmyette’s comment – WOW this is nice wine. I found it to be a well-crafted and a very approachable, young 100% Cabernet. The beautiful garnet color while decanting was the followed by a fruit-forward, aromatic nose. Easy on the palate with cedar undertones and plenty of dark fruit, the mouth-feel is spot on for me. The finish is smooth, luscious and leaves me wanting more! At $75 per bottle for a 2nd label, Bryant needed a home run and, IMHO, it’s out of the park.

Very light Cab - rather sweet at first. Balanced but lacked character.

Nice color with lots of fruit. Had also opened a bottle of Cadaretta Syrah (which, BTW, was terrific) so the Merlot was sort of an also ran. The wine opened up nicely as we visited and, at the end, was very good. Lliterature which accompaned the wine mentioned it improves with decanting, will try that next time. I would buy again.

This is an excellent Merlot at it's best. Incredible nose followed by a full, delicious, fruit-filled taste. I'm sorry I didn't by more.

Beautiful deep red color and a powerful nose. A very fruit forward wine that finishes somewhat strong at first. With a little air the tannins smooth out and the finish is much lighter. We enjoyed this bottle.

Did not decant. Herbaeous or vegetative nose and palet. Dark fruit and plush with plum sauce notes. Opened up nicely and the vegetative taste diminished somewhat.

This wine keeps getting better! Decanted for an hour and a half. Some tannin remains but not overpowering. Dark fruity nose and lots of dark fruit palate. Black raspberries, black cherries and chocolate. Delicious to the last drop.

A huge cab with all kinds of dark fruit flavors. I decanted for 3 hours then poured back into the bottle and took it to The Windlmill to compliment a charbroiled centercut tenderloin steak. Even with the decanting, it was plenty tight upon opening again. I look forward to drinking this one for many years to come

An extra delicious Zinfandel! The nose was packed with dark fruits. Plum & blackcherry were most notable in the taste - some black pepper as well. A beautiful and smooth finish. I wish we had more in the cellar!

This is one huge and delicious Merlot. The nose was packed with dark fruit - powerful. With a little time and air the intense flavor of the first taste mellowed somewhat. Black cherry and plum flavors with an excellent finish.

This wine was rated 90 by the Spectator 10+ years ago and it still has it. I was prepared to dump it but was pleasantly suprised by the nose. It's tannins are nearly gone leaving a smooth, nice finish. There is plenty of dark fruit left too. I doubt that it will hold much longer but it is drinking nice right now.

A smooth, bold cab with loads of dark fruits. Raspberry, black cherry and a hint of plum explode in your mouth. Nice finish too. I wish there were more of these in the cellar!

What a disappointment! Decanted for 3 hours - tannins were still overwhelming. Also opened and decanted a 97 Araujo Eisele Vinyard Cab and a 2002 Beringer Private Reserve Cab. While the Araujo was a little better than the Screaming Eagle, the Beringer beat them both hands down. And at half the cost of the Araujo and one tenth of the wine bid value of the SE. We had a host of people try all three of these wines and the conclusions were unamious.

Winemaker Doug McDougall and his wife Diana dropped by to visit with a bottle of their 03 Cabernet. His small batch winery located on Wenatchee Heights produces red wines from vineyards which he manages. Good red garnet color with an impressive nose of dark red fruit. An enjoyable fruit forward, rich wine with a smooth mouth feel and nice finish. A bargain too at $20. Doug has been involved in the fruit industry all of his life and has taken a special interest in growing grapes and making wine. I expect more good wines to come from this winery.
