Punches above its weight. Easy drinking, but with some substance.

Wonderful plnot in a great spot right now. Fully integrated with plenty of fruit left. Well-balanced. Not sure it has the depth to improve much more, but it should remain a great wine for several more years.

Solid, easy-drinking Cali chardonnay with good balance, fruit, and acidity. Won't get any better but should be good for another year or two.

What a difference from the last bottle (which I'm now thinking might have been off somehow). Beautiful from the first sip and got better from there. Well-balanced with distinct but complementary layers of fruit and nice acidity. Tannins nicely resolved, and no astringency as I found with the earlier bottle. A real pleasure.

This wine has finally started to come into its own. The fruit has emerged and is nicely balanced. The tannins are still very present, but they are refined. Plenty of secondary flavors. Might be tertiary flavors emerging, but hard to tell at this point. All in all, a really wonderful Bordeaux at 21 years old.

This was a beautiful bottle in a great place. Terrific balance and complexity; neither fruit-forward nor lacking in flavor. Really great with duck breast. Glad I have more!

Delicious pinot in a great place right now. Still has plenty of life left. No need to drink immediately, but also no need to wait. Should last several more years without a problem.

Quite good cab/merlot blend. Plenty of fruit still but with a number of interesting secondary flavors. In a great spot but should remain good for a few more years.

With about 30 minutes of air, the slight funkiness on the finish cleared up, and the wine was drinking very nicely.

Really stunning bottle of chardonnay. Thick, rich, bursting with flavor while remaining totally in balance with interesting complexity. Plenty of fruit and acidity, with substantial alcohol, but nothing is overwhelming. Wonderful wine.

Popped and poured. Big, rich, and silky. Delicious right out of the gate. Already showing hints of complexity. Anticipate that it will open up nicely with some air. Wish I had another bottle to see how this will be in a few more years.

Rich, deep, beautiful wine. Tannins fully resolved. Very well-balanced with alcohol, fruit, and acidity all in great places. The fruit is still strong without being overpowering. Popped and poured; will probably show even more depth and complexity with a little air. Glad I still have another bottle left.

Tight when opened but started to come together nicely after about two hours of decanting when the alcohol and tannins came into nice balance. Still plenty of fruit with some growing complexity. Should go for a while longer.

This was spectacular. In a perfect place. Completely integrated. Well-balanced. Just the right balance of fruit, alcohol, tannins. Delicious.

Incredibly bummed that this is my last bottle, but the wine is so good that I'm frankly just happy I had at least a few to enjoy.

Decanted two and a half hours before drinking, and it was still pretty tight. As the evening progressed, it opened up beautifully but still had room to go after being open for five hours. I'd wait at least another five years or so, or decant for even longer. This is such a wonderful wine. Let it show at its finest.

Decanted for 45 minutes, then enjoyed over the course of three hours. Definitely plenty of life left in this wine. The nose was incredible for the few couple of hours. It started to fade by the third hour, but the wine was quite delicious throughout the evening. Balanced with plenty of fruit left and lots of secondary and tertiary notes. Really quite nice.

Was curious to see how the screw-top closure might impact the wine at age 13. Opened and bottle decanted for two hours. Wine was fine but a bit muted. After another couple of hours, however, the wine really started to come into its own. Flavors got much deeper and fuller while maintaining excellent (or even improving) balance. My conclusion was that the screw-top really did keep everything pretty airtight, which means that decanting is essential for this wine to work well. But, with a proper decanting, this wine is really nice. I have one more bottle and will be curious to see what impact ... if any ... a few more years in the cellar may have. With the screw-top, might not make a bit of difference. We will see!

Dark, somewhat muted fruit, approaching prune-like but not quite there. Alcohol is too dominant on the finish at this point.

Delicious, balanced Saxum, as usual. Still plenty of fruit. The tannins have softened wonderfully, and the alcohol is present but not overwhelming. Will probably last longer, but no reason not to open now.

I just don't get Foley's wines. They're big, but not even necessarily flavorful, and certainly not interesting and complex. I tried 'em; they're not for me. This one was more of the same.

I was shocked at how good this wine is. Was a little concerned as the cork started to crumble, but the ah-so did the trick, and the wine was ready to go from the get-go. Still plenty of fruit, lots of balance, and no hard edges at all. Everything well-integrated, and with surprising complexity lurking behind the fruit. Delightful.

Disappointing to say the least. This wasn't terrible, but there was nothing but wood and dirt on the nose and the palate. Not a hint of fruit. Not corked and the color was fine as well. I just think the wine is a huge disappointment.
