Disappointing for Shea and the 2008 vintage. Austere wine that lacked depth. Nice nose and front palate but non-existent finish. It may be closed down in the bottle, but this was not a typical effort by Shea.

I am speechless. This is spectacular. Viscous, concentrated, sweet with an extraordinary finish!! Liquid candy.

Kristy says "hot damn"!! Finish is second to none.

The last two bottles I had we're not fabulous. They seemed to be in some closed down state. This bottle was quite nice. Dark cherries giving way to a complex earthiness. It has definitely benefited from time in the cellar.

Mouth coating, fruit forward with a candied sweetness to the wine! Big finish with some minerality showing through in the mid-palate.

Big fruit, jammy, complex minerality with well balanced. Tannings nicely integrated but will benefit from many more years in the cellar. Enjoyed with a smoke filet and venison/blueberry sausages - perfect pairing.

Dark color, beautiful nose, decent structure, red fruits with a strong earthy mid-palate. Balance was somewhat off and finish did not impress.

Big brooding Pinot. Red fruits, granite in the mid-palate with a solid finish. The wine was quite hot and not ideally balanced although I still enjoyed it. Enjoyed with a pork tenderloin and duck multi course meal.

Decanted one hour and enjoyed with a NY strip. Ideal pairing and came alive with food - Old world style with left 10+ years in it. Integrated tannins, well balanced with a medium finish.

Most of the 2008 Oregon Pinots have been tight and even closed down. However, this bottle (375 ml) was full, rich and opulent. Fabulous complexity in the mid palate with a long finish. Well balanced with good acidity that paired perfectly with salmon.

Big, muscular and fruit forward. Tannins are strong and high alcohol content (15%) left a cloying feeling on the palate. Very interesting wine that needs more time in the cellar. Try again after 2016.

Decanted for two hours. Served with beef tenderloin and port wine reduction sauce with mushrooms. Pairing was ideal. Fabulous nose, fruit forward, long finish and the beautiful complexity that Petit verdot delivers. Thought the wine was fabulous. The only thing holding it back from a higher score was it is balance. A bit strong on the acidity that prevents it from being fully integrated and smooth.

Decanted for two hours. Served with beef tenderloin - perfect! Beautifully integrated wine with an amazing finish. Fruit on palate fading and replaced with a pleasant earthiness. Still has cellar time but I won't wait long to drink my last bottle.

Opened a decanted two hours. Paired with beef tenderloin - perfect. Amazing nose. Big, bold wine with finesse. Velvety smooth with tannins fully integrated and a loooong finish. Surprisingly youthful for a 10 year old Napa cab. Drank alongside a 2002 Quilceda Creek and while different in style, the Bond clearly stood out. Outstanding!

Surprisingly youthful for a 2001. Decanted for 1 1/2 hours and served with beef tenderloin and port wine mushroom reduction sauce. Exsquisite!! Well balanced, long finish with notes of dark fruits, cassis and wet granite. Oak a little strong on the nose but a fabulous wine.

Opened, aired for 1 1/2 hours and poured through the nozzle. Enjoyed with spicy Hungarian goulash and spaetzle. This wines continues to impress. Excellent balance of tannins, fruit, earth and acidity. Exceptional complexity in the mid palate with a massive finish. Down to one bottle in the cellar. Plenty of age left in this wine.

Every now and then, you pull a bottle from your cellar with low expectations. I thought this was probably a little over the hill and was prepared for a below average bottle of wine. WOW, was I surprised. This was spectacular. Perfect balance of age, fruit, earthiness with spectacular grace. I went on line and immediately found two bottles and ordered them.

Pulled cork and drank from the "nozzle". Good balance and acidity that would be ideal with food. Pleasant notes of red fruits, spice and earthy notes. Good wine. The only thing holding it back from a higher score is the short to medium finish.

Had high expectation after having the 01 recently. Needs more time in cellar. Big and powerful although not well balanced. Highly extracted with a cloying effect on the back palate. The 14% alcohol is evident on the palate. Hopefully, some additional age will cure some of these flaws.

The 2002 vintage from Napa continues to please and this is no exception. Full bodied, elegant with a very solid finish. Still maintaining a lot of fruit on the palate with nice complexities in the mid palate. I was expecting this to be more mature but it has plenty of years to go. Very enjoyable wine.

Balanced, integrated, elegant with gentle acidity. A very pure wine with a solid finish. I like my cdp's a little younger and would likely rate this higher if there was more fruit on the palate. Flavors of leather and granite very strong. A beautiful wine perfectly matched with a pork tenderloin with peach and ginger sauce. Exquisite!!

Plush, supple and drinking beautifully! Nice fruit with bing cherries and spice. Outstanding pairing with salmon, risotto and farm fresh green beans. The 09 Pinots from Oregon are showing very well. The 08's seem to need more time in the cellar.

Drink up!

Double-decanted three hours prior to pouring. Beautifully integrated, nicely balanced, concentrated with wonderful complexity in the mid palate. Drank nicely, however will only benefit with more time in the cellar. Don't plan to pull another one for a few years, but very glad that I sampled one bottle now.

Enjoyed with pizza ...not an ideal pairings but not bad. Popped and poured with "the nozzle". At first, it was tight, tannic with a peculiar taste in the middle palate. Thought it might be flawed. Let it sit for about three hours and came back to it....and I am glad I did. Tremendous depth and concentration. Dark fruits, cedar and anise on the palate. Wonderful complexity in the mid palate. Strong tannins with a slightly off balanced acidity, but still very nice. Will leave the other bottles in the cellar for a few years.

Dark fruits with a complex minerality in the mid-palate. A little heavy on the oak but nicely integrated. Very nice wine that can definitely achieve more in the cellar.
