August 31, 2017 - Medium ruby a bit hazy, closed at the beggining, it took one full hour to open up on both palate and nose. Earthy, dark cherry, violets aromas, medium intensity, explodes on the palate with firm tannins and great balance from acidity. Medium long finish, very rich on the palate with dark cherries, tar, earthy notes. Very nice. I was afraid this would be gone, but it's drinking so well right now, and maybe for couple more years

June 1, 2017 - This was a sneaky little mo-fo... The nose indicated it might have been past it's prime, but after an hour it was a totally different wine. An amazing bottle from a hot vintage and still has some left in it.

April 28, 2015 - Some stock, tar and red berries on the nose. Delitare, pure and dry. This bottle is slightly over the top (ref. the stock on the nose), but has certainly some qualities.

February 19, 2014 - Spectacular Barbaresco. Generally agree with everything the community has to say about it. Bouquet fills the room. Really needs some good food on the side. The tannins are still quite present. Probably still has a number of fine years ahead.

August 1, 2013 - 2nd bad bottle. CT and WS Forums consensus is heat damage during shipping. Wine Watch (Fort Lauderdale) would not honour refund policy.

June 3, 2013 - Nose and palette badly off. Bottle showed signs of seepage. Bought from direct from retailer (Winewatch), who has graciously offered to refund my purchase price and shipping cost, and provide a replacement bottle.

July 20, 2012 - This is special. Drinking wine you've held for a long can be a crap-shoot. This was 7-11. Cork was in great shape and the bouquet of the wine filled the kitchen when the bottle was opened. Let this one open for about an hour with small sips - just to check on it. Had that transparent violet color nebbiolo matures to. Tar, tobacco, leather and dried rose-petal. Harmonious dried red and black fruit very present with mildly dusty tannin and acidity working together to satisfy with every sip. Wow. Had this with simple pasta and let the wine shine. I'm not sure how much better this can get but it is fantastic right now.

April 26, 2012 - Hot and red at first blush. Brambly raspberry and sweet cherries up front, utterly integrated acidity washes over cedar and spice notes into a balanced tannin finish. Still got some life in this vintage. Drink now-2015 outstanding.

July 28, 2010 - This is wonderful mature Barbaresco! Medium brick red as others have noted, with the slightest tawny clearing edges. The nose has a distinct loamy mushroom character, amidst red fruits and a touch of herbs. Much the same on palate, with still excellent acidity and a small amount of well-integrated tannins. A real treat!
