February 8, 2022 - Probably needing to be drunk sooner rather than later, this bottle showed well. It has decent fruit flavours of pear and pineapple and is unmistakenly Sauvignan Blanc. Should perform well with or without food.

September 13, 2020 - Pale gold, aromas of kiwi, grass, slate. Dry, med- acidity, light body, really balanced with some creaminess. Flavours of tropical fruit, limestone, and Bosc Pear. Smooth finish paired great with smoked oysters, goat cheese and fennel lemon preserve. We found the 2010 and 2018 side by side for $20 each so this is part of our vertical the eve.

March 22, 2020 - I got the wine from the importer so the best possible provenance.
The color is still bright yellow.
In the nose, the wine holds its character showing tropical fruit, green grassy notes, asparagus but the intensity is medium which is what one would expect after 10 years.
In the palate, the acidity has dropped but without being flabby. Flavorwise, you get pear, asparagus, green bell pepper, berry, smooth mouthfeel, and no sign of oxidation. The body is medium and the finish is medium to long.
Outstanding effort, loving it.1 person found this helpful Comment -

April 8, 2016 - Drank at home.
Last bottle kept as an experiment to see the ageing potential of this wine.
Low intensity aromas of asparagus and green bell pepper. The same follows in the palate, low citrus acidity, short finish.
On the other hand, not advertised as a wine for long cellaring, it was in a rather good form. -

November 25, 2015 - Excellent NZSB. Rich, good intensity of ripe citrus and and orchard fruit with a little tropical note; richer than normal NZ SB, and probably riper, but just a fun bottle to drink, a guilty pleasure. Seemed to be in a better place (or rather maybe I was) than the last time I had this. Probably liked it so much b/c shared it with my parents who loved it!
