September 2, 2019 - Aged beautifully. Potpourri and earth gild the dark red dried fruit.

May 15, 2010 - This estate sits high on a mountaintop along the border of Emilia-Romanga (and until Mussolini changed the border in the 30s was in Tuscany), and is owned by the son of one of Tuscany's great winemakers, Vittorio Fiore. The Ronco delle Ginestre, an old-vine, tre bicchieri winning Sangiovese, is reminiscent of an autumn picnic of grilled portobellos deep in the forest. Layer upon layer of smoky, spicy, dried berry, tobacco, earthy aromas and flavors roll gently and elegantly across the palate before slowly fading into a whispering echo. Truly wonderful wine.
