  April 10, 2019 - initial impressions positive - smoky, dusty, dark fruited with good secondary character, but it fell apart after a few hours and just became a bit uninteresting. i think it's more likely that i just don't like aged tannat, because i recall these TC tannat being quite delicious young.

  November 12, 2018 - Cork was perfect. Not one millimeter of creep up the cork. Color was dark purple without a hint of brickishness. One of the smoothest Tannats I have had. Probably testimony to its 10 year age. Flavors of dark fruit, minimal if any oak, long finish. Great wine.

  March 28, 2018 - The black raspberry and blackberry fruit here is still fresh and vibrant, and the acidity is pleasant. Tannins have become beautifully integrated and velvety. There's a beguiling smokiness at play too. By night two I was surprised to find the fruit had moved on to being stewed, and the smoke moved more toward incense. Still delicious, but not as defined as it was at first. Has held up well but now is the time to drink.

  April 9, 2017 - Not the 95 I had a couple of bottles ago, but still great. I have one last bottle that I will save.
