July 14, 2021 - Sadly my last bottle for now, this has been consistently excellent over the last three years and has a long life ahead.

Brambly fruit on the nose, with herbs and leather, then a precise, not too rich mouthful of raspberry, cranberry and blackcurrant, which deepens into a darker phase before a long, crisp finish.

To be really outstanding it would need a little more ripeness to the fruit - it is a little lean - but this does not detract from the overall quality. Just as good as the top Chinon producers for a lot less.

July 3, 2021 - The wine looks brick colored. The legs are medium. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. It smells like blueberry, cherry, forest floor, light toast and cinnamon. It tastes like blackberry, blueberry, prune, cherry, mineral, medium toast, black pepper, bell pepper, meaty, chocolate and cool/menthol. The body is medium/full. The wine has fleshy texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has high acidity.

February 24, 2020 - Possibly better than the last one, brambly fruit with some very strong notes of raspberry. Absolutely delicious - soft, quite broad and full-bodied, with great persistency. All this from a "weak" vintage.

November 13, 2019 - Very enjoyable Cab Franc at peak

May 12, 2019 - Very oaky at first on the nose, but that blew away after an hour. Quite well-structured, with intense notes of redcurrant and cranberry, tongue tingling and moreish. Very enjoyable, it's probably at peak but with plenty of future ahead.
