October 21, 2021 - Second time trying this vintage with similar notes, this wine really delivers. In a great spot right now, just very tasty stuff.

October 16, 2021 - This is a great aged wine. Notes of raspberry’s, candied strawberry’s, and light herbaceous notes. Decanted for 30 minutes. Still in its drinking window. I would drink this wine now.

October 15, 2021 - Beautiful clear light ruby red with garnet showing. Notes of leather, stewed plum, and herbs. Dry, med body, med acidity, and elegant smooth tannins. At 32 years this wine is still great. If I had in cellar I would drink now.

September 18, 2021 - Brad's Belated Big 6-0 Birthday Celebration (Brad & Marcia's Place, St. Paul, MN): Medium dark red color with a 1.5cm transitional bricked margin. PNP, drank a glass over 45 minutes. Its been four and a half years since I last had this. It hasn't lost a beat. Perfectly integrated and showing as Chablis28 says, Burg weightlessness. Pretty raspberry fruit, raspberry coulis, strawberry liqueur, fine garrigue, leather, roasted game, dried Provencal herbs, very tangy and blissful.

September 18, 2021 - Mature but in heathy condition 32yrs out! This looks & feels like an aged Burg but w/ a CDP/Bandol aroma & flavor profile. Pale garnet red color. Graceful, autumnal, finessed power & intensity. Definitive Southern Rhone nose w/o any headiness. Garrigue, dried flowers and quiet fruit aromas. Fading mature red fruit, mineral & forest floor on the lovely placid &weightless Burgundian like palate! Hail mouvedre! This is a killer & unique version of CDP. This btl proves we can take the critics drinking windows with a grain of salt. Don't be afraid to hang onto age worthy CDP like Beaucastel past their predicted expiration dates. 95+ Alc 13%!
