September 12, 2018 - Ripe cabernet fruit with a touch of green pepper, fairly restrained, drinking very well now and it paired nicely with 2000 and 2001 Lynch Bages.

July 4, 2018 - This wine was still great after 18 years and twice traveling across the country with me. It's seen all of America, so it was the perfect wine for a Fourth of July tomohawk steak!

Big and still showing a surprising amount of fruit. If I had more, I'd aim to drink by 2020, but may go to 2025.

December 15, 2017 - Livelier acid than I expected, big fragrance and a metallic note upon first pour. Richly colored, solid body and intensity of flavor. It's clearly showing well 17 years in. Black and blue fruit, herbal, a dash of cocoa, tannic dust and long finish. All things considered, probably off a step or two but a delightful bottle. For now. 60-minute decant suggested.

January 6, 2017 - Mature now, rich, nuanced, long, full bodied bordeaux-like.

October 21, 2016 - Benchmark Napa blend, very lively even after 14 years of cellaring.

(Quintessa) Beautiful blackberry, vanilla nose; delicious, velvety, blackberry, boysenberry, smooth palate but with good grip; medium-plus coffee finish
