September 7, 2013 - got body, got some flavor but no particular exciting notes, medium tannin with finish, however on the finish there's a touch of bitter. Much better than the Costco/Kirkland diluted mess.

July 1, 2013 - For a $5 Bordeaux this really isn't that bad. This isn't the bottle to put away (doesn't have the structure), but for an everyday drinker it surprised me a bit. Maybe it's just my palate, but I found it better than expected. Tannins are soft, dark fruit and spice with some leather on the nose, mineral notes on the palate, short finish. Medium bodied and lacking complexity, but again, it's $5.

April 20, 2013 - Merlot/Cabernet blend bottled exclusively for Trader Joe's, according to the label.
It started out with a bit of a mineraly bite to it that mellowed out by day 2.
Has a medium/light body for a cabernet/merlot blend, and not as fruit forward as similar blends that I have tried in the past - mostly from California. Aside from that no flavor in particular seemed to stand out. Not acidic, not bitter, not sweet. Perhaps that's the French style though?
I'm not too familiar with reds from Bordeaux, but I have been reading that the 2009 vintage is not to be missed, so I gambled $5 on this bottle when I saw it at Trader Joe's. The shelf only had 2 bottles of this left, so maybe it is popular with the TJ's wine crowd?
Not in the same league as the Reid Family Vineyards Cab/Merlot blends I've tried from Trader Joe's, but it's not $19 per bottle either. Probably ideal for bringing to someone else's house for a dinner party. Good enough to drink a few glasses, but no big deal if you leave without ever tasting a sip.
The wine looks Ruby colored. The legs are Medium. It smells like and Raisin. It tastes like and Mineral. The body is Light/Medium. The wine has Smooth texture. The wine finishes Medium. -

February 4, 2013 - I have purchased this wine numerous times and am never disappointed. I cant attest to the taste after 2 or 3 days after it has been opened. It is always the one that guests finish off. The price is phenomenal compared to much costlier Bordeaux.
