November 7, 2022 - Decanted 3.5 hours and then another 3 hours back in the bottle for slow O. The nose on this was quite fragrant with red berries and a slight floral note. On the palate I got most black cherries, earth and black licorice. A nice bottle which flighted well with an '05 La Spinetta Vursu Vigneto Valeirano and a '10 Ar.Pe.Pe Valtellina Superior Grumelo Reserva Rocca de Piro. I preferred the La Spinetta for its slightly funky raspberry fruit. The Ar.Pe.Pe was very good, but needed some more time to show its best, in my view.

November 6, 2022 - Monthly Tasting Group: Far North & Far South Italy (Chianti Grill, Roseville, MN): Small tasting pour. Baked red fruits, very peppery, didn't do much for me, but hard to form a solid impression from what I had.

November 6, 2022 - Jame's btl at Chianti Grill in Roseville. This saw plenty of air. In spite of the air this drank youngish for me. Still needs some tannin integration. This has excellent concentration and classic flavors & aromas. These Barolos can go for forever working through their structure.

September 3, 2021 - Dark garnet in color. Beautiful perfumed nose of roses and spice. Complex palate, cherry, some earth. Elegant, refined and delicious. Drinking nicely now.
