  July 28, 2018 - Randomly found at Total Wine. A bit past prime and has lost its luster, but still drinking nicely. Definitely all fruit and little backbone. Very smooth. Very sweet.

  June 18, 2014 - Hard to believe this is from California. Best US sangiovese I've ever had. loads of fruit and well balanced. A perfect food wine.

  April 27, 2014 - 60 minutes slow ox. Only wispy hints of fruit on the nose. Notes of Strawberry, vanilla, and some cherry with light but structured tannins. Somewhat chewy and thick, probably best suited with desert.

  December 14, 2013 - Slow ox for 90 minutes. Brighter in the glass than expected, and seemed to show first signs of age/fading on the edges. Nose had a lot more fruit than expected, especially plums. Did not strike me as a sangiovese at all -- had prepared a veal ragu and concerned that this was a bit the wrong direction. Heavier mouthfeel than it appeared. Devolved into something akin to a cheap port -- chewy, cloyingly sweet. Unpleasant. Re-approached on Day 2 with no improvement and poured remainder down the drain. A real disappointment given our pleasant experience with the cabs from this label.
