August 5, 2021 - Fruit nose as the cork opens. Very balanced. Almost jam doughnut but without that same sweetness. Dark fruits and density. Big mouth feel. Really enjoying this. We’ll update once the air hits it a little more - feels like 2 hours decant not quite enough.

August 10, 2015 - So smooth, so unique. Cabernet velvet. Want to try again, couldn't agree on a rating. The Noon story is true.

October 30, 2012 - Luxurious oak, mint, mentol, a bit subdued fruit, red currant and an overall impression of integration. The palate is a bit "sprawling" but still all the components are in place. There is a very subtle saltiness to this vintage not felt in the 04, 05 or 07. Combined with a little heat on the end finish this slightly reduces my impression.

October 21, 2012 - An epiphany wine. Glorious, delicious, balanced, stunning. Definitely on my all-time top 10 list. Intoxicating nose of mint and mocha, kind of like opening a tin of peppermint chocolate bark. Not your typical cabernet for sure. Round, sweet (but not overly so) entry and spreads out across the palate with juicy red and black fruit and a one-minute plus finish. How this wine at 16.5% alcohol has no heat is simply amazing. While the tannins are wonderfully integrated and fine, this wine has many years left to improve and delight. I lucked into this bottle as it is hard if not impossible to find in the U.S. I truly hope you get the chance to have a glass, or two, of this fabulous wine.

November 4, 2010 - This is a case in point as to why balance in a wine is far more important than specific measures of alcohol content and acidity, or even qualitative measures such as "oakiness". This wine is big. Really big. But it is so elegant and perfectly proportioned, despite a whopping alcohol content. The nose is dark fruit, chocolate and crushed rocks with a hint of mint, the colour an impenetrable inky violet. The palate is a super-intense mix of morello cherry, dark plum and blackberry with a wonderful chocolate/mocha finish which goes on for well over a minute. The oak is there, it is noticeable, but it is matched by everything else. The tannins are intense, but silky smooth and so elegant. In essence, everything about this wine is big and lush: but it is all so perfectly in balance that there are no overhanging edges. Bravo!
