    January 27, 2018 - Nice fruit still there. Complex dark fruit. Mineral. Gorgeous with cassoulet.

    July 10, 2013 - This has entered a dumb phase, I'm afraid; even on the second night it gave up little on the nose or the palate. There's plenty of young, midpalate fruit density and fresh acidity to see it through to better days, though.

Part of my Garagise "debunking" project as this was a Garagiste offer that was supposed to be amazing and is just "ok". Nice red fruits on the nose, fine on the palette but the finish was very lacking in "oomph". Kind of a strange, unbalanced wine overall. New world at the beginning, limpid finish. Pop and pour. Surprised to see this at 14% alcohol as the finish was so tea-like.

    May 8, 2012 - Dark ruby purple to the eye. Slow thin legs.

    Out of the bottle, big attack on the nose, with blueberry, blackberry and currants. Some pepper and a touch of heat.

    Nose became noticeably more muted after a short time in air.

    Palate not quite up to the nose at fiestas nose had you expecting more. However, after some time in air they were closer matched.

    Palate not as ripe as nose, however quite easy drinking, with some tannic bite. Medium powdery Dry tannins on the back end finish by melting into menthol.

    A little tricky by itself, but went well with some meat and pasta in tomato sauce.
