November 15, 2020 - This was finally gorgeous. Last bottle of 6 and each one got better. IN the early days this was tight, astringent even. Now so gorgeous, loved it with burgers

March 1, 2015 - Imagine my surprise when pulling this from the refrigerator and pouring what I thought was a nice Sancerre SB. Guess one shouldn't buy wine in a poorly lit wine shop where it wasn't obvious (to me...) that this was red... So, after letting the glass warm up for a while and shifting my expectations from SB to PN, here I am with a pleasant surprise. Nose of cherry, barnyard, forest floor, spice. On the palate, cherry, pomegranate, cranberry, earth. Medium body, high acidity, low tannin, medium+ finish of tart cherry and earth. Compares nicely to a light Burg - e.g., Marsannay or Morey St. Denis. Very enjoyable.

November 14, 2014 - Asked at the wine store for something with great aromatics that could just be enjoyed on its own. This bottle delivered. Dark cherry and wonderful earthy, herbaceousness on the nose. The minerality, acidity, and fruit are all in harmony with one another. Loved this bottle, as did the wife (which was unexpected).

May 27, 2014 - Paired very nicely with a Top Sirloin. Showed a cranberry preserve quality that I hadn't ever noticed. This fruit character balanced the firm structure.

May 22, 2013 - Please bear with me here. If some Gamay can transform into a Pinot-like wine with age, here is a Pinot that could easily be mistaken for Gamay. Medium to light red. Pine needles and sour cherries on the nose. Light weight, tart red fruit, tangy acidity, some tannin. Lean, mineral, completely free of wood or any other artifice. Brisk and refreshing without being too meager, as is so often the case with Pinot Noir from more northerly climes. This is built for food rather than for isolated contemplation.

    November 5, 2011 - Light red colour.
Opened up after a while. Garden berries and spice. Very fresh and good fruit on the palate. Structured and concentrated. Lots of minerality.
    Very good bottle of pinot.
