September 14, 2018 - This was a pleasant suprise from previous 4 bottles consumed in 2012/13. Should not have drinked so early. This vintage clearly really benefited from the extra aging. Fantastic QPR
August 26, 2017 - A bit undetermined nose. Medium bodied, acidic, showing some dark fruit with salt licorice. A bit tight but nicely structured.
September 14, 2016 - Black fruits, vanilla, herbs, green pepper, licorice. Alcoholic with a lack of freshness. Still drinkable but very little excitement.
October 11, 2014 - Rather typical Bordeaux nose with blackcurrants, some dark plums and a bit of dried herbs. Medium bodied, again with blackcurrants and some dark plums, fine acidity, some spice, and just a bit of tannic bite. Quite fine for a "plain" Bx Sup, the ripe vintage has probably given this a bit more fruit and roundness, and more rather than less balance. Drinks well now, but no rush to finish, could possibly develop a bit. 85 p.
September 4, 2014 - inky ruby, long legs, medium/full body, mild dark fruit, sandalwood aroma, earthy flavor, some acid, little tannin, modest finish, ok
June 10, 2013 - Ripe nose of cassis, roast coffee, undergrowth. Palate is near full-bodied with a good tannic grip, strong fruit and decent length. With air, green and red pepper complement the flavour. A little bitterness and heat on the finish. Loses some of its grip with air. Overall a good wine, probably in its peak period now. Fades a bit too fast though.
April 6, 2013 - The wine looks Crimson colored. The legs are Medium. It smells like Butterscotch, and Blackberry. The body is Medium/Full. The wine has Smooth texture. The wine finishes Long. Nice, decanted for an hour, flavor is rich with a buttery essence i associate w/ Napa. Good oak finish that lingers for a while. Rich in fruit on the tongue.
January 23, 2013 - Very nice, mid-range Bordeaux
January 15, 2013 - Bought for $11 at Trader Joes. Very ripe blackcurrant fruit, with a bit of earth. Moderate tannins at best.4th time tasting, seems best early upon opening, excessive decanting will quickly take out most complexity.
NOT a bottle to store away for the next day after opening
BUT...tastes like a $20-$30 Bordeaux for a short time right after opening.
December 26, 2012 - Nice aroma of red fruits. Taste is fruit forward, red berries and a little sour cherry. Light body, not much structure and a short finish, but pleasant enough of a bottle. I probably wouldn't buy again at it's price point, but I wouldn't refuse a glass if offered one either.
