December 30, 2022 - Picked up at auction. Tasty and pleasantly surprised that it is in a prime state.

December 25, 2022 - Vanilla and blackberries continue to keep up with the developing tertiary flavors. This wine is in a fun place to drink.

February 24, 2018 - This wine has aged well. From the opening, it was smooth, beautifully balanced with a lovely nose, modest tannins and acidity and lovely combination of flavors in the mouth. Continued to open over 2 hours with added complexity. This is not a ‘big’, ‘fruit bomb’ cab but rather a quite elegant, balanced approach.

September 1, 2017 - Big improvement over first day from heavy, sweet, dark-fruited, medicinal stew to a mellowed palate of those same flavors with savory acid and some earthier, slightly meatier notes. Quite pleasant, eventually.

October 27, 2014 - Opened to celebrate the life of Master winemaker Eric Dunham. A tribute to a talented man.

This bottle is everything I look for in a Cabernet. The bottle was well integrated, drinking well and I think it is at or near it's peak. Great Cabernet nose. Good dark fruit with a vanilla barrel streak some spice and tannins. A full mouth wine with a solid finish that had some complexities that evolved. Decanted but the wine drank well from the start and started to fade about 2 hours into the night.

A little lower acidity (higher Ph) made it a good wine to enjoy with some Merlot-Parmesan cheese, rosemary crackers and fresh bartlett pears.
