July 9, 2016 - Exceeded expectations. I assumed it was well past it's drinking window but it was still dark ruby red and fresh tasting.

March 2, 2012 - Deep ruby color. Dark cherries and earth on the nose. Sweet cherries and dark fruit on the palate. Easy to drink. Served with a spicy topping pizza and it worked very well. The shortage of complexity and finish seemed to work very well with this food pairing. A solid table wine. It did not detract from the moment, even if it did not advance it.

December 17, 2011 - Black cherries on the nose. Notes of blsck cherries, raspberry, very tannic. Strawberry emerges and dominates the finish. Sweet and mild. Drank at a restaurant in Monza, Italy.

June 26, 2011 - Another overripe, juicy, plummy tasting cheap Italian red. Not a bad wine, but quite generic tasting with little indication that it comes from Italy. Been tasting quite a few of these lately.

March 19, 2011 - NC Cindy Tasting. Nice dark ruby in color, the first thing I get wafting out of the glass is a really nice mineral cement dust which serves as a nice overlay to solid dark cherry aroma. There is a bit of funk immediately on the pop-and-pour, but this blows off and is replaced by a pleasant layer of oak. Keeping in line with the whites tasted earlier, however, the palate doesn't live up to that deep complex nose. There is still a good cherry flavor, but it is both a little too sweet on the mid-palate, and a little too bitter on a finish that is way too short. Overall, the palate is fairly simple and disturbingly thin. I understand it is only $13, but there are way too many wines in the world to actually go seek this out.
