November 17, 2018 - Oxidized - cork was brittle and shattered; wine was lifeless and murky.
March 16, 2018 - PNP - Wow this is singing. Currants, cassis, blackberry with a mature cedar box flavor. I think it has room to continue maturing but this is at peak for my palate.
November 23, 2017 - Smokey, fruity nose.
Currents, dark chocolate, then cinnamon. Good acidity. Well balanced. Gorgeous. Has to be consumed now.
Buy again. Jarvis comes through again.
October 22, 2017 - Good merlot that is drinking nicely right now.
September 12, 2014 - This merlot is at its peak. Beautiful dark fruit, Cinnamon and cloves a touch of chocolate with no rough edges. delicious.
May 27, 2013 - Very nice wine, though I don't think it warrants the price; nice balance and held its frame for 24 hours. Blue fruit and some back vanilla.
March 3, 2013 - hints of chocolate and dark fruit, later cassis.... showed more structure and balance after one hour
November 5, 2012 - Tasted this wine in the Jarvis tasting room after an excellent tour of the property. Wine was delicious. Brought home, stored at 58 degrees for two years. Opened it and it was flat, boring, uneventful and clearly not something I would have bought. Cork was fine, no noticable "burnt" color on the edge, not much of a nose. I have to think this particular bottle was flawed.
May 2, 2012 - Medium dark, garnet red. Big dark fruit aromas blended with a presence of cloves. Well balanced with oak characters of leather and tobacco complementing fruit flavors that translate right from the nose.
December 3, 2011 - Very solid merlot. Continues my consistent experience with the Jarvis family of wines.
