  September 27, 2014 - Golden with aromas of cooked apples and grapefruit. Does not show the heat of the vintage with granny smith apples, dry minerality and competent acidity. Prefer this to the much more austere 2010 vintage. I am extending the drinking window which is still wide open...

  December 6, 2010 - Fun, fascinating evolution here: the two bottles I've had both started with a slightly oxidized, vaguely sherry-like profile, which is interesting in its own right; and both bottles, by the second night, had lost that sherry-like austerity and relaxed into an expression of fresh apples, tart red berries, and chalky minerals. Complete, complex, and also a joy to drink. Very dry, not without generosity but overall cuts a trim profile. Romain Guiberteau stopped putting his domaine wines in oak as of this 2009 vintage.
