March 24, 2024 - If you like them ripe, jammy, and vaguely sweet, this wine is for you.
January 29, 2024 - Popped and poured. Fairly nice for an hour or so, much better than the last bottle even though from same case bought on release and properly stored. Still some fruit left with a hint of Mourvèdre sweetness. Drink up, doubt these will get any better and more likely on the way down.
January 11, 2024 - Decanted 30 min, probably a mistake. Nose was nice when first poured into decanter but mostly vanished over that 30 min. Palate wasn't bad just weak and tired. This bottle was on its way down. Drink up.
December 25, 2023 - Disappointing. Wine seemed tired. Fruit was mostly gone and alcohol overwhelmed. I would not hold any longer
December 23, 2023 - On its decline
November 4, 2023 - Disappointing - showing older than it should. Hot and port-like. It’s been well-stored since release so it’s not that. Nice grenache flavors and garrigue underbrush smell and flavors, but the alcohol heat just overwhelms everything. This wine used to be pretty special, but not on opening or any of the other two days since.
September 27, 2023 - On the nose, showing much older than 14 years. Cigar box and even a whiff of port. Palate more inline with age. Fruit forward but secondary and tertiary starting to come through. Very full bodied
September 9, 2023 - Surprisingly mature. Very nice red fruit but not nearly enough acid for me. Great for a group of non-wine lovers.
August 29, 2023 - Decanted about 30 min.
August 9, 2023 - red to dark red. immediately open nose. fruit forward but developing some secondary notes.
