December 4, 2010 - Had a much higher expectation from an 04 cab. Glad I didn't pay more than I did.

November 14, 2010 - Brilliant! After slogging through too many bottles of expensive donkey urine disguised as "brand name" California Cabernet, this crisp, well balanced, highly structured 2004 left me wanting more - much more. We PnP'd this bottle before dinner and were amazed at the unusual nose - highly fragrant yet subtle, floral, perfumed - and then blown away with the actual flavor construction. From front palate to mid and through a persistent finish, pleasure was had by all at each stop along the party route! A good couple hours of decanting would undoubtedly improve this even more. I don't know how much of this beauty is still out there, but I'm buying as much as I can find - pronto. BTW, does anyone have more than a guess as to what vineyard actually produced this wine?
