January 31, 2020 - Burgundy best of village blind (La Trompette (London)): Perfectly pleasant wine but clearly lost for me blind in a flight with Rousseau Gevrey 03 and Roumier Chambolle 07. Didn't have it down as Nuits as it wasn't rustic in any way but it was a bit disjoint in my view.

September 27, 2018 - Garnet in color fading at the rim. Aromatics are quite full leading with floral notes and earth. Complimented by smoke and cinnamon. Tart acidity with moderate tannins. Medium bodied and not as full flavored as the nose would have you believe, with tart cherry, blackberry, and dusty earth filling it out.

August 9, 2012 - Unlike the 06 this was an absolute ripper of a wine and half the price? Immediately beguiling scents of forest floor, earth and sweet red fruits. This wine perfectly captures the essence of what I love about this region. Quite often the cru or appellation is irrelevant when a wine like this comes along as it's immensely satisfying.

Note: This was actually the Maison Leroy not the Domaine bottling, hence the price differential.

November 2, 2010 - Open for a day. Surprisingly this was tasted to well and I thought this was a better wine to the MSD 1er 2007 that I had few months ago! Perfume floral nose with some ripe fruits, wood and hint of earthiness. Soft but not thin, good concentration on the mid palate with wood spices and ripe fruits. very long persistent mineral finish. drinking well now and very good for a 2007 red. Buy - Maybe.

September 9, 2010 - Domaine Leroy Cellar Visit and Tasting (Vosne-Romanee): Tasting at Domaine Leroy. Dark fruit with just a hint of spice. Lots of structure, very classically Nuits St. Georges.
