  June 11, 2016 - Best bottle of the three I had. Sous bois, forest floor...a bucolic idyll on a crisp, cold Autumn morning. With time grandmother's plum pie: a little sour but compelling, embracing and tinged with both joy, happiness and the melancholy of lost childhood. Superb.

  March 1, 2015 - From argon spritz. Slightly sour cherry, slight caramel, leather, wet earth, mushroom on the nose. Savoury and a little sour on the palate but nicely juicy and fleshy as well. Slight silky mid-palate furring. As I work my way through the rest of the bottle it grows on me rather a lot.

  February 24, 2015 - slightly dirty red berries and cherries on the nose, stalky notes, a bit funky and quite savoury on the nose. Slightly biscuity notes and slight volatile notes with time, as well as some spicy elements. In the mouth the wine has muted cherry and berry notes, some spice, touches of leathery tannin. slightly herbaceous notes and talc like drying tannins. The fruit and spice notes carry long on the palate. Pleasant.

  December 2, 2014 - From Coravin. This was to be a Christmas wine so I thought I'd better give it a go just to make sure that it's in okay condition. The wine is metallic, bitter and green initially with some slight cream and red currant fruit...it's a bit spiky on the finish as well. Pretty awful. I'm not sure if it's forward or just flawed. I'll try it again in a few days and see if it was just my dodgy nose and palate.

  July 10, 2014 - Popped and poured. Aromas of leather, farmyard funk, red cherry, spice and floral top notes (that blew off quite quickly). I also get some stalky hints here as well. In the mouth there are flavours of ripe red cherry and berry fruit over savoury leather and farymard notes with slight green hints. It's quite textured with medium minus intensity fine, silky tannin on the medium plus length finish. It's a little disjointed for me - there is a certain lack of harmony, a dissonance of aroma and flavour. Hmm.
