November 30, 2020 - Jason’s note below is spot on.....really surprised how well this is drinking right now. Some funk when first opened but really settled down. Our last bottle.

November 21, 2020 - Sojourn has, over the years, become an "old faithful" in my world. This wine , 11 years later still lives! Sojourn by its nature is a pinot which emphasizes darker fruits with a little more weight than one might expect from many pinots. After an hour or so, this wine developed a nose of dark cherry, and blue berries with a hint of young strawberry in the back. On the pallet, this medium bodied wine was still putting its best foot forward by delivering dark cherries with a hint of its age coming through in licorice and smoke flavors and as its nose begins to collapse after a few hours of air. Still good, but pull them out and drink them up!!

April 25, 2020 - The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like strawberry, raspberry, strawberry jam and forest floor. The body is light/medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.
July 4, 2019 - my bottle, PnP at a friend's BBQ, did not have opportunity to properly track my tasting notes. dark garnet in color, starting to show age along the rim. fruit, acid, and tannins well balanced, soft tannins integrated nicely; lots of depth and layers. appreciated that the black fruit was not overbearing on the front palate, would not consider it the primary notes either. as compared to the other pinots we enjoyed (that were much more fruit forward), this was the most "bold" able to keep up with the bbq chicken and pork sausages for dinner. felt more burgundian than CA in style. elegant long finish. was a crowdpleaser.

October 11, 2018 - Not as good as expected upon opening. Tasted again next day. Much better. Gobs of fruit and great mouthfeel.
