  Excellent balance, more sour cherry in the fruit than in previous bottles. Tannins come through on the long, excellent finish. Wish I had more.

  January 21, 2010 - Popped and poured, did not need decant. Nose is not strong but very nice. Red and dark fruit, some pepper. Very good balance on the palate... the fruit plus soft tannins. The tannins hold on in the long, excellent finish. Nice mouthfeel. Accompanied a steak and potatoes dinner very well and also sips well by itself. Very good wine, but not complex.
  
  edit: I had my last glass of this 7 days after opening and it was quite good. Just vacu-vinned and kept in the fridge. Maybe a sign that it will hold on for several more years?
