August 21, 2019 - Similar impressions to a year ago or even a tad more impressive; this is at perfect maturity but accelerating fast; warm, complex, and delicious to drink in the next few years. An excellent complement to Belotti's wild boar sugo with tagliatelle and black pepper. -2022

July 27, 2019 - drank my last two. Almost a brown color, gorgeous. It had a great "oldness" to it but even so, there was still some fruit shining through. Very enjoyable. I was thinking maybe I was keeping my BdMs too long but these bottles changed my mind on that. After a 1.5 hour decant, the wine was even more fantastic. Went great with our lamb and green beans dish.

July 18, 2019 - Prior bottle was almost exactly a year ago and my notes remain consistent. Black cherry, earth, spices and floral notes on the very pretty nose. Between medium and full bodied with soft and open black cherry upfront, gaining depth through the middle and adding black raspberry and dark plum. Blackberry and tart black cherry provide contrast on the back before finishing with earth, minerals and light spices. Mid-body in particular was beautifully integrated and between the depth shown there and the seamless transition to the backside and the finish, the wine feels like it's at a quite stable peak. Should be able to hold this level for another few years and I'll save my last bottle for either June or July 2020.

July 7, 2019 - Drinking well. Dark ruby. Medium body with expressive blackberry fruit with a hint of road tar. Long, tart, delicious finish.

February 17, 2019 - Wow. What an amazing expression of Sangiovese. Full mid palate that just coats your mouth. Tastes of bing cherries, violets, and dark chocolate. Finish lasts a full 35 seconds. Can only imagine what it will be like in 5-7 years, as I don't think I will be able to keep my hands off of my remaining bottles that long.
