50 + Kleur: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 13 + Smaak / Afdronk: 18 + Algemeen / potentieel: 9 = 95/100

Color: Deep opaque dark red, just like in 2019 without a trace of discolouration at the edges. Aroma / bouquet: Also now this wine presents itself initially dusty and expressive, full of dark fruit , fleshy, powerful and tough. Taste / Aftertaste: Klaboem. This is Cabernet that couldn't possibly have come from the 'old world'. This is an explosion of taste impressions, moderate acidity. Amazingly powerful and concentrated, soft and seductive at the same time. Retronasal impressions of dark fruit, soft sweet liquorice, soft sweet soy and milk chocolate. General / potential: In 2019 mainly an eating wine, at the moment eating and drinking at the same time. 50 + Color: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 13 + Taste / Finish: 18 + Overall / potential: 9 = 95/100

July 15, 2020 - Decanted three hours. While this is still a tannic beast, it stood up like a champ to Thai food, the luscious, pure Rutherford fruit coming through loud and clear along with notes of black tea, mocha, and spice. I definitely recommend drinking with food. I'm not sure the tannins in this vintage will calm down before the fruit starts to fade. People who dislike aggressive tannins will score much lower.

50 + Kleur: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 11 + Smaak / Afdronk: 18 + Algemeen / potentieel: 9 = 93/100

    Google Translate:

Color: Deep opaque dark red with no discolouration at the edges. Aroma / bouquet: Immediately after opening this bottle, the bouquet seemed dusty and very pronounced. After an hour the wine seems more subdued. Dark fruit. Spicy. Taste / Aftertaste: In the mouth this wine makes a much more excellent impression. Moderate acidity. Nicely aged but at the same time still powerful and robust tannins. Impressive concentration, thick-juicy. Long finish. General / potential: Very impressive power wine. At this stage it is mainly an 'eating wine' that lets go of its just too tough character with meat or cheese. But nevertheless a delicious and brilliantly made wine. 50 + Color: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 11 + Taste / Finish: 18 + General / potential: 9 = 93/100

April 17, 2017 - Extremely tight and tannic even after 3 hours decanting. Huge and almost clumsy style that has the structure to pull it off. Highly extracted blueberry, vanilla, and cassis liqueur. Leathery red fruit and exotic spice bring it back in on the finish. Has 5 more years until it hits the peak. Needs to be strained as it throws off a lot of sediment.

May 5, 2014 - Really a beautiful cab. 3 hr decant. In its drinking window. If you have some of these, now is the time to pop one and let the enjoyment begin.
