April 6, 2024 - Past its prime? I think not!

Very fruity aromas, cherry, green bell pepper, soil.

Opened up nicely in the decanter and glass.

    Would absolutely drink again.

November 25, 2022 - Decanted 1 hour before drinking. Heavy sediment. 5th time I have had this and the last of my magnums. Brownish red color. This benefitted from some air time and opened up as the night went on. Moderate tannins with a smooth and earthy texture. Notes of leather, berries and forest floor. This has seen better days. Drink now. 87 points.

(Château La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape) Group's #2 (my #4) – 68 pts; 2 1st place votes, 3 2nd place votes, 3 thirds, 1 last place – Medium red violet color with pale meniscus and sediment; attractive blackberry, currant, clove and black fruit nose; tangy, stewed black fruit with graphite and good acidity, but more mature tasting than the rest of the flight; medium-plus finish
