Community Tasting Notes 2

October 16, 2012 - Solid cali syrah with smooth mouthfeel, but really nothing outstanding for the price. Tasty, ripe, dark stone fruit, but it's a bit one-dimensional has a quick finish. Well-balanced? Sure. Soft tannins? Definitely. But that doesn't really mean it stands out from the crowd of the nice cali syrahs that are out there (especially for the fairly high price point). I realize this is a bit of "what have you done for me lately?", but the bar has been raised and you need to do more for me to give out precious 90+.
