November 6, 2022 - Fragrant spice, berry nose framed by a fair amount of oak. Soft attack, with good grip in the mid-palate. Very Zin-like flavor. Mature. Medium length.

May 14, 2020 - A little surprised, but still showing some youth. (An adolescent?) For the first 30 minutes, plenty of jammy fruit; pick your Zin(ful) favorite. But with a little air, the acidity woke up and it was a wonderfully balanced wine. Not shy by any means. But drinking well and probably has a solid 5+ years left.

December 1, 2017 - Holy mouthfull of zin goodness Batman! This is no shy flower, but good Lord is it tasty. Really big/fruit forward notes of raspberry pie, cranberry sauce, and all-spice. Although less than a typical Bedrock, enough acidity to keep this from going overboard.....but AFWE crowd should definitely not apply. A bit of an outlier for Bedrock stylistically, but that being said, it's an absolutely delicious bottle of wine and one I'm enjoying immensely. Drink now. Like....right now.

June 11, 2016 - PnP. This has definitely matured and changed. Red fruit is less bright and at the forefront but now nicely integrated with the meaty bramble.

January 13, 2016 - PnVnD let air for 1hr. Dark purple crimson almost saturated with ruby to clear rim. Aromatically intense and complex wit cherry plum cranberry lavendar anise blueberry sage and a whiff of tar. Medium weight with nicely grippy cherry skin tannins. Very racy with and hugely flavourful on the palate with the flavours echoing the nose.Lingering cherry cordial herbal finish. Wow! Still youthful sad it my last bottle but glad I hit it in a sweet spot. Saved 1/3 of the bottle to try tomorrow.

Drinking very nicely on day 2 more integrated showing some nice floral notes on the nose and palate. Lots of life ahead.

January 2, 2016 - Had a taste before decanting for a little over 2 hours. Both the initial taste and after decanting were consistent. Very ripe red fruit, without much complexity.

December 22, 2015 - Dark purple in the glass, with typical Bedrock florals, along with blue/black fruits and some spice. I was surprised to find a bit of heat on the nose, as that is not something that I usually experience with Bedrock wines. On the palate, more of the same – very tasty, but the heat is definitely showing through some. I know this is somewhat of an outlier for Bedrock (as they allude to in the retrospective tasting notes Morgan passed along in one of the recent offerings).....but it was still damn tasty, and an enjoyable bottle that I’m happy to have 2 more of. I’d say drink now, as I fear the heat may become even more apparent as time goes by. Cheers!

October 13, 2015 - Nose of raspberry, ETOH. Red fruits, alcohol, but still pretty balanced. Not jammy, like an Aussie shiraz with jammy blueberry, but clearly a big wine. May have some upside potential with a few more years in bottle. We'll see.

September 28, 2015 - Tasted this blind and it was clearly a massive New World jam bomb. Huge blast of oak and very ripe fruit with big alcohol. I thought it was Petite Syrah but Zinfandel was a second guess. Very modern and full-throttle. A perfect wine for the Robert Parker set.

June 27, 2015 - Noticed the alc was 15.9 before I poured it and it showed from first sniff and taste. Decanted for one hour. Bottle doesn't detail the blend but I w.ould have guessed mostly Zin. Dense and rich fruit, black cherry, cranberry, plum, spice, little vanilla, touch of tobacco on finish later on. Good acidity. outstanding wine and I enjoyed it but the alc is still very evident. Will hold my other bottle for a while or give lots of decant time. Maybe a full day
