June 6, 2023 - Given how many of Barmes Butcher’s wines from this era premoxed, amazed this is still in good shape. Not very expressive. The acid is there but not much petrol on the nose. Some varnish (not oxidized), citrus, clover. Drink now. Not seeing much upside on this moving forward.

September 27, 2020 - My last bottle... Deep yellow and gold, showing its age. Citrus - lemon, dried pineapple, a touch of honey, petrol and white flowers on nose.

Palate - lemon zest, tart apple and beeswax. Acid is moderate plus, alcohol medium minus. Balanced. Long finish.

Really has come together. Drink up!

mouth - very nicely crafted and showing well at age 11, fully dry, as expected, with some hints of tropical fruit and prominent though not overbearing acidity. very enjoyable.

April 20, 2019 - Didn't know what to expect from this. Bought it several years ago from Garagiste and have just let it sit. Color was a core of shiny yellow gold to a clear meniscus. Nose was petrol dominated. On the palate there was apricot, pineapple and lemon notes falling away to a balanced yet mouthwatering finish.

January 10, 2018 - Lazer’s bottle for opening night at 2 Spring Street. Classy, well-delineated Riesling from a producer I haven’t tasted from in a very long time. Everyone else liked it even more than I did, perhaps due to a cold but I was looking for more distinction.

February 16, 2017 - Acid Haus (Art & Design House, Wiliam Street): Initially oxidation over honey, slight botrytis and green apple…more tart apple and savoury honey on the palate. Hmm.

August 29, 2012 - Double Blind @ Le Provencal; 8/28/2012-8/29/2012 (Le Provencal, Miracle Mile, Coral Gables,FL): - Yellow gold color with fast forming legs and aromas of pineapple, apricot and lemon. It's in total harmony and has flavours of pineapple, apricot, lemon and licorice anise with a medium/full body. Bright texture with a long finish. Great acidity. Mark's wine(me).
