June 17, 2015 - Not every day that your wife is immediately convinced of the fine quality of a wine. Certainly the case with this one, despite being "only" a Langhe Nebbiolo. Lovely lightness, beautiful spice, etherial cherry aromas, well balanced and just yummy.

April 13, 2012 - Very funky, damp forest floor meets farmyard, great fun and interesting.

December 29, 2011 - Damp earth, compost, forest floor, very interesting funky wine, dry and slightly snippy. Excellent and a fun.

December 19, 2010 - Didn't decant and probably should have but this was surprisingly good out of the bottle. Old world fans will love this tight, acidic and slighty brutish wine....not one for the new world officianado's!
Day 2 it is softer and with a bitter-sweet palate offering espresso, dark red fruits. Nose seems to me more pinot noir than nebbiolo but palate is true to form. Probably needs more time but not much. Not convinced on QPR as nudging £20 for a Langhe!!. I am guessing Mascerello's Barolo's are long-haul wines on this showing.

October 9, 2010 - Lighter colour and body than expected. This took a good four hours in the decanter for some strange chemical aromas to blow off, but it opened out into a really attractive and very approachable Nebbiolo. Delicate and restrained rather than powerful but still a delightful wine and clearly very well made. Great value and will probably improve over the next 5 years.
