September 27, 2016 - Enjoyable. Rustic, earthy predominant flavors with smooth tannins - Great QPR. Paired well with thin slices of Parmigiano-Reggiano and walnuts.

September 20, 2016 - Last bottle of this fine value. Lost a bit of its fruit remembered from prior bottle, but still has a lot going on. Rustic in a good way.

October 5, 2015 - Just got around to drinking another one of these and it was a beautiful wine. Had fruit from all over the place, strawberry, plums, currents, even figs! Showed just a touch of oxidation, but was still very lively. Alcohol did not show at all. For a low priced wine this ages amazingly. I've had a few much higher priced Aussie Shiraz recently which could not hold a candle to this wine. Happy to have another to see how it holds for another few years.

March 25, 2013 - Hinting towards an old world style here with an earthier nose of fruit and palate that is similar in quality. This is clearly drinking at its peak and would be all down hill from here...but not a reason to give this a try. Would complement a nice Italian meal or other more robust fare for dinner. I would look out for latest vintage and try...The 2008 in MB, CAN is what i'm looking for.

November 18, 2012 - Very nice - smooth. Easy to drink! Would certainly buy again!

(COSTERA Argiolas) Costera Dear Friends, This wine is pretty much available everywhere (or will be at some point) but it deserves a very bright spotlight. The 2007 Costera made such a big impression on me that I acquired a large parcel on your behalf (it was one of the finest $10-12 wines I tasted, from any region, while I was in Italy). If you are looking for value with impact and staying power, this wine delivers on many accounts to a wide range of discerning palates. The ultimate backyard barbeque wine for the oenophile, the 2007 Costera is one of the biggest surprises of the year - it is that good. With a cacophony of delicious fruit and spice flavors, you would be hard-pressed to find a better bargain wine, even among 2007 Rhone examples: ONE SHIPMENT ONLY directly from the winery cellar: 2007 Argiolas Costera IGT (Sardinia) (this is not the Vina Costiera, that is $8.99) Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA Italy5931
