August 28, 2018 - Actually was our first bottle of Washington state Cabernet, and we were very impressed.
Drank immediately after opening. No need for decanting other than filtering out the sediment--wine did not change over the course of the hour and a half.
My wife in particular liked the wine as it is rather soft. It is smooth and balanced. At this age, 10 years after bottling, it did not taste oaky as mentioned in other reviews.
But, yes, I would have to agree with another review that it does not have a distinctive structure. But, then, it does not cost $200 or $300 per bottle.

February 14, 2018 - Great way to kickoff lent and Valentines Day. A very balanced wine that just tastes great from the start.

June 25, 2016 - Hazy notes from two days ago. This had a nice nose, and good varietal characteristics in the full bodied palate. But there seemed to be a bit of RS left in the wine and a fair amount of oak, which brought the marks down for me. It was too soft, with little tannins or structure. This is a characteristic I've seen in several WA Bordeaux blends recently. I don't know if this is my palate changing, but I'm finding this style (overt sweetness, little structure and too much oak) boring and tiring to drink (B+).

(Januik Cabernet Sauvignon Champoux Vineyard Horse Heaven Hills) Dark in color. Dark and brooding aromatically with plum, cherry, licorice, spice, mineral, and herbal notes. Dense with chewy fruit on a richly flavorful palate followed by an extended finish. Quite closed up at present. Give 2-3 years. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged 20 months in French oak. 14.4% alcohol. 377 cases produced.
