February 21, 2022 - Retail $45. Big Ass Bottle. It is hard to believe that it has already been more than four years since Patty Green suddenly died; it seems just a little while ago that I was raising a glass of her wine in her honor. The last bottle of this wine, opened well over a year ago, was fantastic, and this bottle might be in an even better place. Fairly light in the glass with a classic Willamette Bing cherry characteristic, considerable spice, and some dark earth. Yowza. The palate is still quite fruity with loads of cherry, but also some of that earth. The tartness is on point and there is just a kiss of spice on the finish. Very nice.

February 13, 2021 - Popped and poured. Medium garnet, a bit cloudy. Nose is showing off baked cherries and plum; iron and red rocks. Palate has lots of vibrant acid. Red-fruited, but also meaty, some pepper. This is very good. Plenty of life ahead.

October 31, 2020 - Retail $45. I bought several bottles of this wine a *while* ago and I have no idea why I have waited so long to pop this first bottle. Not too long before buying this wine, I discovered that I had attended college with the winemaker, Jim Anderson. When I met up with him in 2010(?) we discovered that our paths never really crossed at school despite there only being ~400 people in our graduating class. It is also rather melancholic to drink this wine as Patty Green passed away a few years ago and she was universally loved and admired. Oh. The wine? Simply delightful. Slightly opaque in the glass with rich (and only slightly stewed) cherry fruit, earth, and clove. The palate is wonderfully balanced between fruit, acidity, and depth and the finish lasts for well over a minute. Bravo Jim and R.I.P. Patty. thedrunkencyclist.com

February 12, 2019 - Decanted about 2 hours. Medium color with a clear rim and a touch of bricking. With a little coaxing the nose shows sweet spiced red fruit with high toned herbal notes. Gently sweet on entry, medium bodies and elegant, the flavors include fresh red cherries, berry pie and a touch of iron. Nicely balanced, fresh, excellent structure, this is a real classic example of PGC and the Ribbon Ridge AVA. Very fine. Drink now through 2024.

    February 2, 2018 - PopnPour, tasted over 1 hr
-ruby core dark red minimal clearing at edge
-low key though relatively rich rhubarb-y pinot funk faint plum spice
-med acidity, med/med+ weight quite a bit of depth with a thick almost syrupy texture slightly medicinal faint dark fruit with licorice tar elements, med tannins
-reasonably complex and deep but not hot or over-extracted, may still have some upside development
