December 5, 2020 - The ripeness of the vintage is unfortunately dominating. I’m still getting the interesting complexity of Trenton, but the ripeness dominates. One more bottle to sample, but I wouldn’t wait much longer
December 16, 2011 - My system (nose mouth finish) ++/, Tasted next to 2001 Hanzell as I have done several times with these 2 wineries. Preferred the swan as it was showing better, herbs and spices, bright red fruit, soft tannin and acidity. I am sure it could go several more years but drinking great for my palate now.
July 8, 2008 - 14.1% alcohol. Wow, still so youthful but so wonderfully delicious. Bright cherry color. No hints of bricking or anything of that sort. Aromatics just leaped out of the glass from the get-go. Red and black cherry, flowers, baking spice, minerals, a hint of secondary earthiness, and a renewed kick of fruit lingering in the background. In the mouth, explosive ... layers of fruit coating the palate, backed up by elegant complexity. Vivacious acidity. Beautifully long finish that reminds you that, no matter how tempting it is, you should wait to take another sip. Perhaps not as good as the 2002 and still quite youthful, but this is a tremendous Pinot.

August 7, 2007 - Opened up beautifully with plenty of room for improvement
January 24, 2006 - Opened up after about an hour but still tight and in need of several more years. Nonetheless a beautiful wine with a lot of character that will just get better.
