  February 20, 2020 - Opaque dark purple across most of the glass, with a pink then clear rim. Perhaps a very slight haziness. On the nose, dark dark fruits bubbling in a tar pit. On the palate, wonderfully balanced: rich yet spicy, brisk acidity giving structure more than obvious tannins. It's not quite the epitome of Tuscany, despite the preponderance of Sangiovese, because the 20% or so Cab Sauv places it in Carmignano and nowhere else. So, the epitome of Carmignano, then. And I have to say this is one of the best bottles I've had from the area. By the way, there is no sense of this being old. Sure, there is some tertiary development, but I am sure it will give enormous pleasure in five, 10, even 20 years. This is making me very happy. Cork, 14%.C

  August 27, 2018 - Still very nice, medium bodied, silky barely noticeable tannins. Nice berry fruits, dried berries. Starting to dry out. Shortish finish. Acidity is starting to wane, wine feels a touch flabby but still holding.

  January 29, 2018 - Très agréable. Tannins encore présents mais avec beaucoup de fruit. Avec un osso bucco, ce fut le ciel!!
