September 9, 2012 - Ok with food. Decent wine, but not my favorite style. A bit earthy for me.

April 17, 2012 - From memory. Nice acidity with red cherries, raspberries, a bit of earth, and mild tannins. Juicy and elegantly harmonious. I like this better than the Aries. Not overly complex but had the delicious factor. Good deal for <$15.
March 2, 2012 - Chassin Tasting Event at Ouverture (Ouverture Restaurant, Stellenbosch): A rich, succulent approachable Pinot with decent concentration and a grippy tannin frame underpinned by a vibrant acidity. Not much delineation.
February 9, 2012 - Excellent Bourgogne, red fruits, touch of chalk, plenty of 09 sap in the middle, with a crisp refreshing finish. Not refined but very drinkable.
November 30, 2011 - Very nice, fruit forward Burgundy with good QPR
November 18, 2011 - This is really well put together for the price point. The last time I tried this (9 months ago), it came across hot and unbalanced. Some of the heat has dissipated and everything seems a little more integrated. Bright cherry, raspberry on the nose with a hint of clove and pepper. Relatively short finish, but everything is nicely balanced on the palate. Nice pomegranate note on the back end.
